The hotel is older and does not have a lift to the 2nd floor in case you need one.

This hotel, situated on Loch Awe with stunning lake views, boasts an old-world charm, featuring rooms that feel like they're straight out of a fairy tale. Despite our late arrival as the bar was closing, we had a delightful conversation with Sandy from Edmonton. Sandy generously extended her time to provide us with valuable information about the cities on our itinerary. The breakfast was exceptional, prepared freshly and served by incredibly friendly staff. The entire team exuded genuine happiness, which made for a warm and welcoming atmosphere that extended to all the guests.

The room was slightly dated and the hot water in the sink was almost scalding so washing hands meant transferring between the two taps to prevent unbearable hot temperature.

Beautiful location and loved the seats outside especially the fire pits. Really useful to have blankets and bug spray available at reception. Great selection of board games in the lounge which sadly didn’t get chance to sample. The staff were absolutely amazing, every single member we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Had a laugh with some of them and one in particular went out her way during breakfast to try help us find a route to Oban after an accident meant the road was closed. The meal in the restaurant was exceptional too. Highly recommend and would stay again.

    Should have stayed longer!

Fantastic hotel in exceptional location on the shores of Loch Awe. The level of service is outstanding, from management, to restaurant, to bar to room staff. This is an "old" hotel that has however been maintained meticulously and is decorated with taste, aesthetics and in harmony with the stunning natural environment. Spotlessly clean, excellent food and well-stocked bar with some exceptional whiskies. To top it off the manager who is clearly on top of it, arranged for us to each have well appointed rooms at the same price as the single room we had originally reserved by mistake. This is the kind of intelligent and authentic service that has become a rarity, with the result that I highly recommend this lovely hotel, have told many of my friends and colleagues to go, and will be returning at the first opportunity.

Breakfast very good. Meals were very meat based. Not much for people who prefer vegetable based meals. Loud annoyimg music played during all meals spoiled the peace of the location.

    Nothing.

Lovely hotel in an idyllic and peaceful location very much geared to relaxation. There are wonderful views of Loch Awe, and of the distant hills. Food is excellent, and there's a lovely cosy bar with staff who are knowledgeable about whisky! The staff are a great team who are friendly and attentive but not overbearing. It's just a wonderful chilled place to stay, and to see the beauty of the west coast of Scotland.

I know its difficult, given the location/terrain etc, but the coach track for larger vehicles to the car park does has some very big potholes, that need attending to as it is not great on the shock absorbers.

Loved the fact that your dog could accompany you to breakfast and that they are made to feel so welcome at the hotel, a big plus!

I think they must have been short staffed in the evening as it took a little time to find someone to check us in.

A Stunning location on the shore of Loch Awe. Our room was very spacious with fabulous views of the loch from every window (we found out the next day that we had been upgraded). Breakfast was well laid out with a good choice too of cooked breakfast; the staff were friendly and helpful.

I don't have anything to complain about- even the one-lane road was a bonus for me because it gave me the practice I needed to feel confident driving on them (all over Scotland).

The staff was so friendly and helpful, I was traveling alone and they always gave me a seat by the window (ate both my breakfasts and dinners at the Inn) which I really appreciated. I had many chats with (the very hardworking) staff and took all their recommendations on hikes and drives. My Loch view room was so comfortable with a huge updated bathroom and tub. The atmosphere was so congenial and relaxed, and it fostered the same lovely connections with fellow guests- whether at dinner or by the fire. The food was exceptional, fresh, local and creative- as is the movement across Scotland now. I swam in the Loch and sat by the fire looking at stars- it was exactly the experience I was looking for.

Bar staff were less than charming, sadly. Dinner was good but perhaps not very good value for money, compared to breakfast.

Location was lovely, peaceful, with loch views and outdoor fires in the evening. Breakfast was excellent and dining room staff very friendly. Room was comfortable and layout of the hotel was interesting.

This place is a little slice of heaven and I’d honestly stay here again. So quiet and private, and a great little base to do some exploring of the area. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was beautiful food. The waitresses are so accommodating and sweet. We felt so at home and welcomed - nothing like old fashioned hospitality. The breakfast is amazing - so much to choose from and they cook it for you personally after you order. The room was clean and had a great bed, with a view over the water. I’d love to visit again - everyone was so kind and friendly. A beautiful part of the world and the views of Loch Awe were stunning.
