No local taxis so had to get a taxi from Perth, so taxi journey of 3 miles was quite pricey but no one's fault.

Traditional house hotel could do with a major overall (don't we all) but otherwise clean and well run. staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast and great value for money.

Great hotel, very helpful staff. Restaurant on site is very good. Quiet area and 10mins drive to Perth.

Room was a bit tiered and dated. Kettle needed plugging in under the TV which was a bit strange with everything else that was under there

The issues that lets the hotel management down is the quality of the mattresses on the beds. Given the investment that has been made in upgrading the hotel, the poor quality of the beds greatly reduces the attractiveness of an otherwise pleasant and convenient hotel.

The hotel is a traditional hotel from the late 1800s servicing fishers using the local salmon rivers. It has style and modest elegance and it is clear that money has been invested to upgrade the rooms and other public areas. The food was of decent quality and at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly, welcoming and most helpful. The location is a few minutes from the A9 the main route between Perth and Inverness.

It was a little dated but had a very warm welcome and the price of the room reflected.

This is a local hotel which is perfect for those who want hunting, shooting and fishing.

Room got pretty hot, but luckily opening windows, although then got the(limited) traffic noise

Just a nice, classic hotel, with friendly local staff, clean and spacious rooms, nice bar with a menu to suit most dietary requirements. Best of all, dog friendly with no additional charge, will stay again.

Perhaps a longer lead for the kettle or a higher up socket would have been useful.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. There was a good choice for breakfast. Evening meals were very good and reasonably priced.

Only minor, but the shower took a long time to warm up.

The welcome at Tayside is always warm and friendly. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The food in the bar was excellent, and I liked the option to have a smaller portion.

The weather! Felt sorry for everyone in Tayside, which had had the most appalling weather in the week before we arrived.

Staff were all very friendly and were able to accommodate our requests around check-in and late night access. Breakfast was excellent and 11am checkout was very convenient.

The fixtures and fittings were a bit outdated, but it is an older property with plenty of history, so it’s only to be expected.

The staff were very friendly and helpful! The food was absolutely delicious and affordable!
