Can be a bit noisy at night in that lively area, but that’s not the false of the hotel. Breakfast offering could offer some more options (mainly only different variants of eggs/omlette, but no muesli, joghurt or marmelade had been available)

Great two-room apartment, nice pool area, good restaurant and bar, nice staff (especially at the bar) and only a few meters from the lively beach. Great spot to stay to explore the area and making day trips. All in all highly recommend, I will come again.

The only downside at this time was the swimming pool which was not usable, but I do understand that it cost to maintain it, and if no one is using it, it is not economical.

Calabash is in a great location, all the staff were very accommodating. The food was great. And it was clean, tidy and safe.

Having to ask for toilet paper and the bed linen to be changed given the bed linen is white in colour which isn't the most practical although fresh looking in terms of decor.

Breakfast was not included which I thought it was. I feel that I should not have had to prompt cleaners to clean or leave toilet paper, but the cleaners were amiable and pleasant. The room/apartment is dated and could do with an uplifting in terms of kitchen and shower area. The staff were friendly and willing to help.

The room I stayed in had the toilet built on a platform a foot higher than the rest of the bathroom which is a potential accident waiting to happen if someone hasn't already tripped over it.

This is my 2nd stay. I first stayed there when it was new in March 2009. I liked the location, the spacious, clean rooms and the lovely attentive staff.

The hotel used to feel like you were part of a family. The atmosphere has changed since the restaurant has separated, however the food is good.

Music from Churchill's and Patta Patta nearby can be quite loud especially Thursday and Fridays but finishes by around midnight so no problem unless you like early nights or have young children.

Excellent location, lovely friendly staff team. Good value of you book early. Great security sand cleaning teams take took care of us. Friendly bar and restaurant out front do some nice dishes and welcoming to families and tourists etc.

Broken door at the balcony, broken fan in the sleeping room, low water pressure, plug for the bath tube doesn't fit. AC in the living room works not very well.

Minimal pots and pans made cooking feel like i was one handed and playing a juggling game. Many power cuts although recovery was usually quite speedy

Attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Nice large apartment, I was upgraded to a 2 bed one. 4 poster and Queen size bed. Roomy bathroom attached to main bedroom. Management and staff were always ready to resolve any issues.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like something but perhaps an automatic generator would be more convenient for power cut however CB was always on hand to ensure the smooth running of things. Aziz was lovely and ensured that we had a room in the location I had requested. The apt was so big and super comfortable. Please do not visit Gambia expecting European hotel and hospitality standards however expect to be respectful as you would expect from the locals and those responsible for your care.

Location fantastic breakfast basic but one must consider the impact of Covid on any businesses especially small ones like CH.

The location is great, just a short walk to a lovely beach etc. The on site food /drinks bar is good, and the breakfast was adequate. The staff here are wonderful, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. My friend had a little health scare (nothing to do with the property) the staff were fantastic and checked daily as to how he was feeling / whether he needed anything. The owner also showed concern which I thought was a nice touch.
