Gorgeous, mid century design - very consistent throughout, leaning into the history of the building. Staff excellent and very friendly. Very reasonable price! Great value. Huge room, great fixtures, spotless room, very comfy beds. Stayed for two nights.

It took a while for me to be let in the building as it locks the doors at 11pm and I arrived back to the hotel at 11.20pm. I kept ringing the reception desk with no answer and was knocking on the door. I am female and was on my own, it was dark so it would’ve been helpful if there was a way to get in using your key fob or something as phoning reception is not reliable.

Comfortable, clean, and room was great size. I liked the quirky look of the telegraph incorporating its history in pictures/posters, mugs etc

We enjoyed a lovely dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and we had a very nice room, which had a great view of The Belgrade Theatre.

Far too hot. Had aircon system on but I think the heat in the hotel was too much.

O few things that were tiny bit disappointing Cocktails stop after a certain time and we weren't told and the shower head needed a deep clean as some of the nozels were blocked.

The theme is great with lots of unique styling and features. I love the reusing of what was already there and real plants through the hotel. The room was so spacious with a super comfy bed and nice tea and coffee facilities. The reception staff were welcoming. The breakfast had lots of choice and with check out at 11am plenty of time to get ready in the morning.

We nearly missed the reception which is turn left through the double glass doors and additional signposting is probably needed. Lighting in hotel room a little dark. Spiral staircase scary. Cocktails only served to 11pm in bar. No face flannels provided. Oh hotel has no car park but we had arrived by train and used Ubers for getting back and forth to football ground and station.

Our first visit to Coventry and the good news is we loved the university city and the 4* hotel we booked for a one night sleepover. Everything is pristine, staff welcoming and friendly and lovely décor (Barbie pink bathrooms and soft green/grey lobbies). Easy to use push button walk-in shower, big comfy bed, reasonable bar prices and interesting history display - what’s not to like? Photos of a naked Lady Godiva adorn the downstairs men’s lavatory, we are told! You don’t have to fiddle with room card to turn on lights or use lifts (joy of joy no piped music in elevator) only to enter first floor bedrooms corridor. Breakfast buffet was fabulous, full English, fruit and juices - help yourself. We paid £142 (including VAT and Forme & Chase breakfast) via booking.com for ‘best duplex’ room with free cancellation. Decided we will definitely return as we loved our stay and the area is well worth more exploration - did cathedral but want to see more.

Hotel is an absolute gem in the middle of Coventry. So quirky and really celebrates the history of the building. Breakfast was buffet style and was excellent. Bar area is nice and relaxed too

I loved this place! Being a bit of a Mid-Century fanatic, when we decided to visit Coventry as my partners team were playing Coventry FC, we decided to stay here (I booked it as a surprise, he thought we were staying at the Premier Inn down the road). He was beyond happy, and we both totally loved it.....the decor, breakfast, bar...everything was finished and executed so well. So great to see people investing in retaining the history and character of old buildings instead of throwing up another metal box. Plenty to see in Coventry also as we spent the following day there.
