Housekeeping of the room was poor. Bed poorly made and minimal cleaning of the room each day. Bed never changed in four days.

The noisy creaky floorboards in the room above.

Room size etc was fine. From 7am the room above had a constant creaky floor for over half an hour then started creaking again around 8am, possibly cleaners store room. Therefore no sleep from 7am which after a late night wedding was not the best start to the day. When paying approx £160 for a room, you expect it to be relaxing. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and lovely staff.

Our room was tiny .. just enough space to get round the bed! And it faced on to a wall .. not the view we'd hoped for. Staff at pool expected us to have booked swims; staff at reception told us there was no need to book. It would have been good to be told in advance of arriving that we would need to book dinner; there was a function in the hotel so we had to eat much later than we would have chosen.

We liked being able to use the swimming pool. The house has many grand features but looks a little tired in places. Loved the complimentary goodies in the room. Breakfast was great, served in the lovely dining room.

Plumbing a bit awkward on temperature control. Drinks bit expensive. Some bathroom and decor tired. No fridge in bedroom.

Slighty too much music for breakfast. I’m all fro listening to the radio at home but constant fiddle music was a bit too much.

Room 106 was more suited to a single traveler. Not much room plus we could hear every word from the adjoining room. Also thought there was someone in the room when the guests walked about above our room. Sound proofing is was terrible 😞

Nothing to dislike

From the moment we arrived we were taken back by the beauty of the hotel entrance, the staff were great we arrived very late almost midnight, but the young gentleman showed us to our room. The room was absolutely stunning and a good size, the bathroom was spacious, clean and had a stunning bath and shower. The bed was superb with very good quality bedding. We asked room service for some ice and glasses to enjoy a bottle of champagne we had been given as a present as we had just got married and we were celebrating our honeymoon, this was brought to our room by a very friendly member of staff. The breakfast was very high end quality just a little pricey. We love this place it was fantastic.

Poor lighting in room and the shower and bath needed a degree in plumbing to figure out!

Breakfast was too expensive for my budget but most places are to be fair. Still, £13 is still steep for an average eater!

Rooms were very traditional but felt clean and fresh. loved the old style radio in the room. don't see many of them around neverminded one that was in perfect working order. Nice coffee and lovely biscuits

Room 201 - boiler room noise until 2230hrs then starts again at 0430. Avoid this room unless you’re a deep sleeper or hard of hearing.

Plenty of parking, quiet location near Inverurie. Good sized room, good shower etc.

The lunch menu was limited and not great quality food - just ok.

Excellent breakfast! The room was stylish and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Lovely to have robe and slippers. Also we love the caramel wafer biscuits. Really helpful friendly staff.
