How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The hotel does allow dogs for an additional charge,per night. But please be aware dogs are not allowed anywhere in the restaurant for breakfast. We had to put our dog in the boot of the car for half an hour which in February wasn't an issue. But in the height of the summer we wouldn't stay due to this policy. Other than that we had a lovely weekend.
Great location, clean, nice sized room, friendly staff.

We stayed in a superior room. I was quite surprised the superior rooms seemed to be in the basement. Therefore there was only a small window which looked out at grass level. Outside the window were quite a lot of cigarette ends which had clearly been there for a while. It would be obvious to any person cleaning the window they were there but hadn’t been picked up. The room had a jacuzzi bath but we didn’t use it. Looked like it had seen better days and had a few Polyfiller repairs.
Breakfast of full English and cooked fresh. None of those awful experiences where they keep food warm under a lamp for an hour. Full choice of cereals, juices, yogurts. Tea-coffee on tap also. Fresh fruit…..You couldn’t ask for more as a start for the day. Double bed was very comfy. Picture on booking dot com shows a superior room bed that is three pillows wide. Ours was just a normal sized bed so you may need to check on that.

The bed was super comfortable and the Spa Bath was nice and relaxing. There was a good selection of hot and cold breakfast, staff took your order for breakfast and had several choice of egg options. There was a coffee machine, tea and juice on offer.

The hotel was clean, professionally presented, the staff were excellent and warm. The location of the hotel meant that parking was limited and that made it feel a little uncomfortable on arrival. However, the staff were sympathetic and supportive. I did manage to park on the main road outside the hotel and it wasn't really a problem. There were lots of non-hotel parking opportunities in the local area within walking distance of the hotel.

Old fashioned shower. Bath needed a clean. No air conditioning. Breakfast could have done with some fresh fruit chopped up. Only 2 cereals and they were too similar.
Similar to Premier Inn. Excellent beds! Very good breakfast.

Sadly the bath panel was broke ending in I journey but other than that it was perfect
The room was a brilliant size and very clean. We asked for extra pillows and it was sorted within minutes.

A minor issue only. The TV in our room had no HDMI connection, so I couldn't connect my Firestick. I'm sure this could have been simply remedied by checking with the hotel prior to booking the room.

Underdone bacon when asked for very well done. Hard poached eggs. Rubbish under bedside table & a member of staff vaping inside
