The outside could use a good clean on the building. Internally it was very nice and clean. Would have been a nice gesture if we got some of our money back for not staying the 2nd night due to a family emergency.

The price of the steaks. Considering I tried a rump steak with the mixed grill last time I stayed and it wasn’t a good steak at all, so that prevented me getting a steak this time and I never had breakfast in the hotel either as it wasn’t great the last time either. Maybe next time I’ll try both.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Comfy bed. Good shower in room and in changing room for the pool / gym. Sauna and steam room are decent, pool is small but fine if not too busy. Had chicken satay skewers for a starter in the restaurant and they were good. Had the dirty burger from the main menu and asked for it to be double stacked which wasn’t a problem and the burger tasted of decent quality, the bacon on it seemed decent as well, probably could have been doing with a bit more of the beef chilli as there was little, but overall a good tasting burger. The fries and coleslaw it came with were goo too, the coleslaw was nice and creamy. The changing room lockers have been fitted with a number lock system now from the last time I was here, which was great to see as well. I really like this hotel. Doesn’t look as good from the outside, not that it matters but for those who haven’t seen the inside, especially the reception area, it’s really quite nice.

Recent introduction of car park charges for the clients, although the hotel is away from the busy city centre with plenty of space for car parking. This is a money making scheme😟

We didn't know you had to book a swimming time for the pool so was unable to get in.

Our room was lovely, however we had added our 14 year old son to the booking and they expected him to sleep in the same bed as his parents. They had no Z beds so he slept on the floor with a cushion.

Shower pressure was so high the bath was filling. There was also a lot of warping on the bathroom door. The heater in the room was on full blast no matter which setting was used. TV in the room was not internet enabled.

Food was good as always, rooms and hotel are clean etc.

If I was to say something it would be the pool was nearly always busy but not a lot you can do about that. The beers were all standard ones you could get anywhere in the UK. Perhaps could do with some bottled scottish ones from some of the many independent breweries.

Staff were fantastic from the housekeeping, bar staff, waiters/waitresses, leisure and the reception. The evening meals were excellent and a good choice. Breakfast was also excellent again a good choice and fresh. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were all good too. Everywhere you went in the hotel was clean.

Everything was good. Our room was a little chilly (it was very cold weather). Staff put an additional heater in the room for us as soon as we reported the room was a bit cold. Bed was a little firmer than i am used to at home but slept well regardless.

Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times and will be back. Very nice interior, excellent staff, good food, efficient service, clean and quiet.
