Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe were in room 20 and our only issue was the bathroom, the wash basin was tiny and you couldn’t get near as the roof slopes and a glass shelf above the basin. Most of the water went on the floor. The same for the toilet it was under the slopping roof. I think they had forgotten that people have to use them!

United Kingdommember of family got charged £14.75 for one pint and when he questioned it the bartender said he charged him for 3 pints even although he only asked for one :( Also shower was warm but water coming out everywhere hose was not great

BelgiumPart of a 'chain' from what I could see - was expecting more of an 'inn' atmosphere. Menu was a generic menu that seems to be used in a lot of pubs/restaurants/hotels in the UK. Didn't eat there, apart from breakfast, which was only OK.

I’d asked for a slice of halloumi on my daughter’s burger, this was possible but would have been charged, and at a high price ( I’ll not disclose) I declined. As a manager, of a property my guests were spending a considerable amount of money in, I’d have popped a slice of halloumi on the burger and not discussed it any further.
Property location was excellent. Hotel was clean and tidy. Food was very good.

United KingdomThe room was a little cold. Parking in the hotel carpark was very limited for the amount of guests the hotel can accommodate, however ample parking close by and help offered if this was necessary.
The room had a great view of the harbour (paid extra for this) which was lovely. The room was comfortably furnished and of a good size for a a few nights stop over. It was clean, as was the bathroom and had all of the amenities that one could reasonably expect, including tea making facilities, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The breakfasts were phenomenal, good quality ingredients in plentiful supply. We booked in with a very friendly gentleman who gave us all relevant information. We particularly liked the choice as to wether we would like to opt out of the daily room service and take a voucher for a free drink instead, what a great idea.

United KingdomCar parking needs addressing, non residents were parking and visiting the town not the hotel. Also using the disabled parking spaces. They need to issue parking permits for residents use..
Perfect position right by the harbour. Good food and excellent service. Very efficient staff ang great view over the sea.

United KingdomThe breakfast system was annoying with no trays to carry back to your table. so if you were seated far from the buffet it involved walking back and forward many times. Frustrating if you had forgotten something. Also the number of dogs on the carpeted areas was bad, as we were sure they were limited to the hard floor areas.
The location is perfect above the harbour, and was as expected, and the room on the top floor was very comfortable with the view as a bonus.
