The location is literally smack dab on a gorgeous beach with waves lulling you to sleep at night. The Bothies are well-equipped with everything you could need. There are two more beaches right nearby and plenty of good walks start right outside the door. The hosts are warm, kind people who made me feel like a friend.

There was nothing unlikeable…

From the minute we arrived with a friendly greeting by Dave, looked at our view from the Bothy, we knew we had found a little piece of paradise. Everything about our stay was special; location, the treats left for us, the beach, and the atmosphere. Everything you could need is provided for you in top class accommodation, and it does not feel small at all. We will be back, could not recommend highly enough. Amazing in every way. Location excellent with view of beaches and islands. Property perfect for 2, very comfy bed and bedding, kitchen has all you could need. Lovely to have some basic food supplied, plus a treat to start the holiday with scallops and black pudding.

We were a bit unlucky with the windy rainy weather for a couple of days.

Stunning sea view location and surprisingly spacious accommodation for a pod which had everything we needed. The hosts were brilliant, friendly and generous with the food gifts they provided. We had one lovely sunny day but couldn’t control the weather after that. Loved listening to the sound of the waves crashing and watching the terns dive bombing into the sea.

Wonderful location of this very well equipped bothy. The views are exceptional out to the small bay and across to Pabbay. The bothy has a fully equipped kitchen, shower room , king size bed, sitting area and outside decking with chairs. Julie & Dave are perfect and generous hosts and include a welcome pack including butter, milk, bread, scallops and Stornaway black pudding. This is our second visit and we will definitely be back to this tranquil and relaxing place. Great beaches nearby, lots of lovely walks , great for water sports and cycling.

The weather - but don’t go there if you expect hot weather. Just hunker down if it’s wet or windy.

The view and location is literally the best in Britain - right on a secluded beach with white sand, turquoise water and extremely quiet ie a handful of visitors each day at most.

We absolutely loved our time at the Beach Bothies. Dave and Julie are both very welcoming and super helpful. The welcome pack was extremely generous. Delicious scallops and Stornoway black pudding went down a treat on our first evening there. The pods are beautifully furnished, very comfortable and equipped with everything you could need for your stay. We especially liked the added touch of the coverless duvets for a cosy evening on the deck whatever the weather. The owners Mountain bikes and kayaks are available to use too. My son thoroughly enjoyed cycling around the peninsula. Our dog just loved the beach. We were lucky enough to see a seal in the bay during our stay too. We will definitely be returning to the Beach Bothies.

Nothing, absolutely everything was better than expected.

Everything. The Bothies were beautiful and well equipped, the views, beaches and walks in the surrounding area were incredible and Dave and Julie were the best hosts we could have imagined. There were treats including freshly dived scallops and stornoway black pudding in the fridge for our arrival and when we had van troubles Dave went out his way to help us get back on the road! We really appreciated that and look forward to going back next year.

What a wonderful place to stay! Make sure you give yourself an extra day to just be as we felt we did not have enough time and should have allowed extra time to just be around for a day. Bothy is spacious with everything you might need, hosts were kind to give us the grill although it's January! Beds are exceptionally comfortable and the sound of waves makes you not want to get up. We enjoyed our evening sitting in the arm chairs watching the sea. Local area is exceptionally beautiful with a stunning Reef beach just over the hill. Bothy even has binoculars so you can watch local wildlife from the comfort of your own terrace with a cuppa coffee. :) Hosts provided breakfast, some home eggs, local black pudding, scallops and basic cooking stuff. Thank you to wonderful hosts for welcoming us.

I cannot honestly think of anything I disliked about our stay.

The Bothies are in a fabulous location, directly on the beach. The Isle of Lewis itself is beautiful and the people are extremely friendly. This was a wonderful break from our busy lives in the South of England.

We had to leave. And it rained the day before we left…but hey, it’s the Outer Hebrides. It was still fabulous.

The location is outstanding. The hosts even more so. Waking in the morning to the sound of waves on the white sand beach right outside your bothy is the best way to start a relaxing day exploring the island. The bothies are equipped with everything you need and if you’re missing something, Dave and Julie are there to help. We spent four nights there for our son’s 30th birthday and left with memories we’ll talk about for years. We could not recommend it enough.
