Great location near the town centre. Clean, comfortable and with great facilities. Buffet breakfast had choices for every taste. The Bistro Bar was good for an evening meal and drink. Plentiful private parking.

we always stay her and it has very good amenities- we appreciate it was very hot weather and the room we had was lovely but no ventilation as all the windows were sealed up solid- old iron frames with secondary double glazing panel. We did not have a good night sleep this is meant as a constructive criticism to help with any window renovation that does need taking place in some rooms Overall this would not stop us staying again .

Swimming pool was very cold, sauna and steam room closed at 9pm so we didn’t get to use them as we didn’t know. Our room was very dated, very hot as we couldn’t open a window for fresh air, the view from our room was dreadful. The hotel was very noisy, we could hear everything outside our room.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The restaurant and bar area were lovely. The bed was comfortable.

Room decor and colour was quite dated and tired particularly bathroom. Very early in morning we could hear the stairs creaking with people going up and down and above us to the point it woke family up.

Pool - Pool was good , just a feedback - pool water and pool room was feeling like highly clorinated, all of our eyes were burning even standing besides pool water.

We visited over the Easter period and so the Hotel was extremely busy, and this did result in the service in the restaurant being slow at times.

This was our second family ( 10 people) stay at the Celtic Royal Hotel. The standard rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfasts (self service buffet ) and dinners were of a good standard. We also made use of the gym and pool which were also of a good standard. On the final evening due to a sudden change in homeward bound travel arrangements we had to request our evening meals to be served earlier than the usual stated times, and the staff in the Copa Bar were extremely accommodating and went over and above to make this happen. The reception staff were also always very helpful.

no issues on the hotel and very pet friendly - would have been even better if there were no spinning doors when entering and exiting with a big dog

Breakfast was perfect - we have a husky and we had to book the lounge area breakfast - we missed that trick for the first day so plse book the night before if you have pets- Room was good , clean , just a little dated / tired

Restaurant for breakfast was a bit cramped and didn’t feel for the children there was a lot of choice with pancakes, yogurts and fruit etc. only really full English, some danishs and melon. Cereal too.

Loved the decor of the hotel when we first walked in. My children loved the old style turn style door. We used the pool and facilities which were very clean. Room was spotless, clean and comfortable.

The room was comfortable, there was some evidence of wear on the furniture. It was also evident that the room needed a deep clean. We reported marks of an unknown nature on the wall and the one coffee cup had lipstick on it. It was great to have a room with an opening window although in the morning the extraction from the kitchen meant the smell of the kitchen came straight into the room.

The hotel was easy to find, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was an upgrade on line so I suspect was larger than a standard room. Bathroom and shower was good. Off road parking was available.

Continental breakfast was very limited; I would have expected a choice of fresh fruit and pastries rather than a bit of melon or an apple and toast or a roll with some processed cheese. Room was small but adequate.

Cooked breakfast seemed fresh and plentiful. Spa facilities were good and readily available. Position of the hotel was very central for access to town and attractions. Staff were generally pleasant and friendly. Lamb rump was delicious!
