I stayed in a large room with twin beds overlooking the road. The room was lovely overall. However, I have a few comments and that is that the bathroom mirror and the mirror on the bedroom wall are too high to be able to put make up on or style/dry hair. The other issue was the toilet flush which was awful. I had to pour water from the kettle down it while flushing for it to get rid of the toilet tissue. And the noise it made was absolutely terrible. This needs to be addressed asap in my opinion 👍

Good location for what we were there for. Lovely bar and restaurant with great staff who were very friendly and helpful .

The room was small and the bed wasn’t the comfiest, but honestly it was still better than I expected - for my purposes it was perfect as just a cheap and functional base to sleep, just don’t expect a really luxurious room to spend a lot of time in. Being above a pub and with a train passing close by it can be a little noisy if you’re wanting an early night, but it wasn’t a big issue and still probably much quieter than places in a city (I’m from a tiny village so not used to any noise really but less rural folks probably wouldn’t notice it much).

Staff who welcomed me when I arrived explained everything thoroughly and when I said I’m autistic she had the perfect balance of leaving me alone/giving me space but being approachable if I needed help. Having a back way to access the rooms so I didn’t have to go through the pub every time was really helpful too! It’s an easy to find location with a decent enough sized car park, so ideal for commuting to where I needed to be in Salford but without the city centre bustle or prices. Everything was clean and well maintained, and while it was definitely about affordable functionality over luxury, I could see the effort to add in extra comforts where possible. I ate at the pub restaurant downstairs one night and I personally didn’t like that environment as it didn’t work for my sensory needs but I do think it’s really useful having that onsite and think it’s a real selling point for most people - convenient, homely, big portions and decent prices.

It is a shame that advice is not to open the window of this room. I presume because the kitchen ventilation is immediately outside.

Nice simple well equipped single room.

A nice place for an overnight stay - very quiet and comfortable room. We had dinner in the restaurant which was lovely, well presented and hot and good value for money. We also had breakfast in the morning which again was very good value for the price. Very friendly staff throughout our stay.

I just spent a night there as I was on a trip. I have been very welcomed and the great point is there is a restaurant and a bar. The night I spent was on a friday evening and it was pretty quiet. I have been explained how to get out at 4am. People working there were very nice too.

Excellent accommodation , very clean and quiet. Nice shower room. Very professional staff. Restaurant shut at 8pm though only negative factor. I assumed being a pub as well, there would be food served later than 8pm.

I'd booked the twin room as it provided a lot more space than the single, which didn't disappoint. But the beds were way too soft for me (personal preference), and the constant noise all night long from the road outside meant that I hardly slept (even wearing ear plugs).

The friendly welcome and service by all staff was second to none - was made to feel very welcome and comfortable which is not always the case when travelling and dining alone. The lady behind the bar also gave me the use of her own personal hairdryer as they weren't provided in the room - thank you :-)

Shower door too close to the wall , couldn’t fully open it . Stairwell exit , steps were wet and dangerous to walk down with luggage. Not many sockets in room,

Great pub , nice food ( more chips needed) Staff lovely , girls worked hard serving behind the bar and waiting on tables, credit to the pub! Room clean , beds comfortable , shower fine
