Fresh tomatoes for breakfast would have been nice, also marmalade.

Warm welcome in fire-warmed pub by friendly staff. Comfortable bed in fair sized room with compact but clean, well furnished shower room. Good hot water. Good pub food and big freshly prepared breakfast. Good central location, but not noisy.

We had rooms with the shared bathroom which is OK but obviously we would prefer an ensuite ., but we've stayed before so weren't to bothered as they were the only ones left when we booked . Beds really comfy and the food and staff are great. .

Great location to the Races , staff fantastic and the breakfast was lovely .

Everyone was very helpful and staying there was comfy and easy. I expected the room to be smallish with a single bed, and to share a bathroom - all of which was fine. I didn't need anything more and was glad to find somewhere where I was not expected to pay for a double or twin room even though I'm on my own.

Room in this old and slightly quirky building on the small side but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Excellent breakfast, it would have helped us personally to have had a wider time slot for breakfast, but we understand the reasons, and the manager was very adaptable where that was possible.

There was some mold on the wall in the upstairs hallway. I think there is a lot of condensation, and I recognise that you can't change a lot of features, there maybe room for some secondary glazing and dehumidification.

The lady who greeted us was friendly and helpful. Our room was cozy. It was warm. The location is excellent.

Maybe a couple of bottles of water in the room would be nice.

The bar/hotel staff were extremely helpful and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I was really impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff.
