Our bed was a little firm for me but was good for my husband and the shower pressure in our room wasn't very powerful, having said that we still managed to have a hot shower after a good walk, it just took a little longer than it would normally. These are not complaints just personal preferences and would not deter us from returning to stay again.

The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The staff are excellent, so attentive, friendly, welcoming, lovely people. The location is wonderful for walking with our dog, a good walk into Keswick too. We have dined and drank at the Coledale for many years as we normally camp within 1/2 mile of it and have loved every visit so it was a nice treat to actually stay this time too!

Nothing really heating was a bit basic but we managed. Vegetarian menu was a bit basic, but there were several options. Breakfast was lacking some potato or something. This is a really lovely place to stay, any criticism is very minor.

Lovely place to visit and stay. Able to walk from Coledale Inn up and over the fells. Very welcoming staff, clean, warm and great breakfast. What more could you ask for? We will definitely be back and will recommend to our friends.

There is a book in the room that tells the guest about all the amenities, which was excellent. However, I only picked the book up to find the wifi password, which wasn't actually in the book; I had to ask at reception. So, it would be very helpful to have the wifi password actually in the room.

The pub and staff were all very helpful and friendly. We didn't stay for dinner but breakfast was good. Parking was onsite, which was excellent and the room check-in and check-out were seamless.

Only a little suggestion maybe another shelf in the bathroom to put various toiletries on. The small glass shelf was just a bit small.

This hotel was in an old mill and buildings in a lovely location set slightly higher up behind the village of Braithwaite with easy parking outside. Inside there were several rooms including the Middle Bar where we ate dinner, The George Bar, breakfast room and lounge. The decor in the hotel was wonderful and also it was decorated for Christmas which was so beautiful. There was an open fire in the Middle Bar which we loved. The bedrooms were on 2 floors. Our room was very comfortable with a view of the village and hills. The staff and managers were very friendly and attentive.

The location is superb,just ten minutes from Keswick with views of Skiddaw.We had a family room which was very big and comfortable and warm.Only had breAkfast which was excellent.All of the staff were so friendly cannot beat a northern welcome. Hope to return soon.

Having to leave!

The setting is wonderful. We've been coming here for almost 40 years and is still unspoilt. Any renovations made to the Coledale have been done sympathetically and in keeping with the property. Friendly staff where you are greeted with a warm welcome.

We have stayed here before and it was the first place that we checked for availability for our stay. It’s in a perfect location if you want to climb a hill or two and after you’ve done that a pint in the bar and up to your room for a shower before dinner is lovely then a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast before the next hill.
