Too noisy when in bed

When we arrived one person gave us a key and said it was up the stairs, interaction was very minimal, which was fine for us, but others may look for more explanation. We just left the key on the ledge checking out as no one was about. Just a note that the rooms are the top of a lot stairs, for lugging luggage up. Perhaps it was just location, Ullapool being a busier place in the NC500 route, but I felt that it was a tad expensive for a twin room compared to the price we paid in other NC500 locations.

Location was great, right opposite the harbour and a busy pub underneath. Beds nice and comfy, shower and en suite all good. Breakfast was available but we didn't take it. Appreciated the bottle of water and biscuits in the room. Being able to walk along the street to other restaurants was really handy. Being able to park right outside the properly was really handy, though charges apply 10am-5pm. Really enjoyed our time in Ullapool.

If you have a front room overlooking the harbour expect noise from late night drinkers. Lot traffic goes along the road so if a light sleeper ask fir a back room. Poor pillows if you like fluffy pillows take your own

Shower cramped. Armchair in room would have been good. Decor tired.

Location for ferry terminal brilliant. Views across the Loch pretty spectacular. Staff friendly.

The Inn was quite dated, there was carpet in the bathroom. Asked for a quiet room and got put right above the bar, which was full of loud bikers. Bed was uncomfortable and small. Had dinner here and while it was good, the wait for everything was so long. Skipped dessert for the first time on my trip because I didn't want to wait another hour.

The room was very small. Very basic equipment. Poor quality pillows and only one each. It was noisy, you could here the next door occupants talking and snoring! It was only place to charge extra for breakfast and the dog out of seven places on this trip. It just wasn't worth the money for the room.

The location was perfect. The pub food was excellent.

I have stayed here many times over the years, the rooms are a little tired and the place could do with a redecoration. The bathroom was very cold, but it was snowing outside

Visual appearance to the inn could be improved. When we arrived we just handed a key and the person went back to working behind the bar. The cost of a room was expensive when compared to the other hotels we stayed in whilst completing the NC500

Decor and carpets were very tired. Double bed very small and as our room was right at the back, we were disturbed until 0130 by people at the sister hotel.

Not very Welcoming lady that gave us the key was unpleasant.what they call the restaurant was dirty toilets very dirty .

Staff weren't very friendly, could be quite noisy due to a firedoor banging in the passageway outside our room. The bar didn't have the selection of beers advertised.

shower pressure very low, bed very creaky, moved the bed out to look for a plug and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, loads of dust and crud.

I was hungry after a nine hour drive.the kitchen was closed after 21.00 .shame bar food was not available until 22.00 at least.
