Only downside is that the rooms are not accessible if you have mobility issues.

A true hidden gem, right next to the ferry terminal. Lovely old world charm, super friendly staff, very good food, and the room we had was large, spacious, and airy. Wonderful as a base for a holiday, as a stop off when you first arrive on the island or as a last stay on the way out. And the cooked breakfast is amazing!

The room was extremely hot when we entered. Not the best room for relatively tall people.

Breakfast was nice but would prefer toast rather than fried bread. Everything that went with it was good too.

The room was pretty cold. The radiator was on but due to the room size it just didn't really suffice so we were cold in the night and the morning.

Room was massive and well stocked with everything. Even had complimentary hot chocolates and biccies. The room was pretty clean and had some nice views over the Solent.

No shampoo. Breakfast promised more than it delivered. Choice of cereals, juices, fruits and pastries was good. Eggs, sunnyside up, bacon and brown bread came as eggs, over easy, brown toast and was a bit greasy.

Rooms were clean and fresh. Evening meal was good. Nice place with plenty of parking.

A delightful weekend cycling trip getaway in a peaceful and convenient Inn

My husband and I had a super pleasant stay at the fishbourne. We brought our bikes on the ferry and this delightful inn was the perfect base for cycling trips around the island, we went through Ryde and Seaview one day, then around Newport and Cowes the next. The Inn is very close to the ferry dock but feels peaceful, quiet and secluded. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and we particular enjoyed the complementary breakfast. The whole experience was great and incredible value for money! It was the perfect weekend getaway

    Nothing really

This is the second time we've stayed here and it was consistent with our previous good experience. The Fishbourne is only a few hundred yards from the ferry terminal yet manages to be quiet, almost secluded. The welcome is warm and the rooms are comfortable. The food is good and the bar and terrace very attractive. Breakfast is excellent. It's easy to park.

    Nothing really

Extremely convenient to the Portsmouth-Fishbourne ferry, yet feels quiet and secluded (is also peaceful at night). Very close to Ryde and Cowes (5-10 minutes drive to either) and hence to major sights such as Osborne House. Very friendly welcome. Rooms are very good and comfortable. Food also very nice. Excellent breakfasts. Easy to park.

Perhaps the only thing would be a wider selection of main meals on the dinner menu but what was available was excellent.

The breakfast selection was small but all was of superior quality. The summer weather made the option to eat outside a good one to choose. All the staff were helpful and attentive without being intrsive.

Fantastic location, right next to the ferry terminal, but nevertheless so peaceful. Quarr Abbey is walking distance away, which we particularly liked, through a beautiful forest walk. Breakfast plentiful and tasty.

Music could be heard in the room until about 11.30pm. Food offerings were very disappointing. We had dinner booked on the Friday evening at 8.30pm. 5 menu choices were not available. Several menu items for breakfast were not available on both days.

The room was good. Comfortable beds in a twin room and good shower.
