The room was sold as having a sofa bed. But I’m reality it was a small mattress on the floor, which my 6ft 3” brother had to sleep on! 😬

Just because we booked through Booking .com we didn't get breakfast included . Didn't have the opportundity to book direct as found this through Booking.Com and seriously felt that breakfast included would have meant a better value for money. Mirror in bathroom didn't allow for th fact that I was only 5ft 1in and the grey strip actually cut my face in half, mirror in bedroom was in the radiator and too far away from radiator to do my makeup. The curtain was faded. There was no heating on ( visited at end of Oct and would have liked a bit of heat). Not impressed with meal at all and partners gammon was really salty. I had a hot pot for supper but was definitely over potatoed with potatoes on the hot pot and roasted potatoes. Hot pot usually includes veg but this was like pulled brisket with sliced spuds on top. Don't get me wrong the meat was tasty, the veg wa Ok but as a meal....... I cook much better at home and really disappointed that i was not able to have a really nice meal for my husbands birthday

Very nice presentation and greeting on arrival was very pleasant but lacked something that would make it really special. Clean and quite nicely presented but again lacked the je ne sais quois.

There is parking outside but its not reserved so anyone can park there. We checked in late so we had to park a bit furthur away.

I like that the cottage had 2 goodsize bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The double beds were big and lots of pillows / towels provided. The cottage was clean and the kitchen had everything provided even dishsoap, kitchen towel etc. The lounge was small but there is 2 sofas cosy enough for 4 or a family.

A few minor black spots in the bathroom from poor ventilation. Stains on the back of the curtains.

The location was ideal, with a shop, a pub and a chippy all a stones throw from the accommodation.

The hotel is located in a very picturesque, convenient spot. The room was was ground floor but was quiet and comfortable. Not sure about the food because we had not booked and it was fully booked for dining. This may indicate that the food is pretty good I think. (Luckily we were able to find good food just across the road.) Parking was free.

It would be good if the reception could be screened off from the dining area. A bit off putting having people arriving at the reception whilst you are trying to have a quite meal.

Easy parking right outside the property. Room clean and tidy with everything required. Area very quiet at night, so good for sleeping.

It was good to have a single bed in a little separate room. Room was a good size. Rooms and bathroom were clean. The pub/restaurant on the ground floor looked nice, unfortunately we arrived late and left early so couldn't try the food.

Not very soundproof - other guests, particularly above, were noisy.

Rapid check in. Room pleasant temperature. Generous supplies for electric kettle. Excellent shower. Noticed but had no need to try the heater and fan. Equally easy to check out.

Quiet, comfortable place to sleep. Hotel and two other nearby places were good places to eat. Frequent bus service in front of hotel.

Unfortunately found the bed to be very uncomfortable. Both myself and husband suffered aches and pains each morning. Mattress seemed very hard and could feel the springs. Good night's sleep varied, but not great. Needs addressing as this would stop us from staying again

Nice hotel, lovely surroundings and decor Room in separate building met our needs and boasted lovely decor. No issues with the room and enjoyed our stay apart from uncomfortable bed. Nice quiet location.
