Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomAt the budget end of the market you get what you pay for, all was going ok until I saw some hair at the bottom of the shower, and the person in the room next door came bundling in late with the TV blaring. They'd only need to spend a few hundred quid on the doors, paint jobs and other odds and sodds and it would be much better.
Location was good, room is what you expect at the budget end. Sheets and pillows were clean and comfortable. Lots of good eating places nearby.

United Kingdomrooms nothing like pictures . there’s no breakfast available yet says there is . was told haven’t since lock downs, we arrived after 2.30 and room wasn’t ready had to hang around to get in the room. shower was dirty and smelt bad like drains
location was ok and could find our way about from there . even tho very small and basic , we felt safe and cozy and was fine just to rest and sleep in.

UkraineThe absence of WiFi. It was pretty good advertised on Booking.com but it was absolutely impossible to switch it on and the reception staff were unable and did not want to solve this problem. Staff were totally unhelpful and unwilling to help book tickets to the theatre.

United StatesThe room was not very clean. It could used a vacuum. The tv did not work. The door to the room was very difficult to close. But would I stay there again? Absolutely.
The area, the staff, and price were on point. We felt safe, slept peacefully and loved being able to leave our luggage in their care upon arrival and departure. Great cafe just across the street, not far from Bictoria Station, and plenty of pubs nearby.

United KingdomNo shower tray so the water just ran out of the bathroom door and into the room. Constant beeping from a fire panel outside the room, all night long. Ceiling fan nearly falling down when turned on. Surly receptionist with limited customer service skills.
Location convenient for Victoria station. Despite the warnings, our valuables stayed safely in our room when we went out. Very good price, for London.

The bathroom was nice, shower could be more sturdy. Shame radiator didn't work would be cosy but heater did the trick. Beds were comfy. Plug sockets could be better and maybe a few more. 4 mobile phones to be charge aswell as tv and a heater there just insn't enough plug sockets. Regular checks of everything working. Defently room for improvements like use of space/paint/cupbords/dust pan and brush Fab that they hold luggage for free till your coach/train ect. Bigger cups for a coffee but thats just being picky. Great area and the staff were amazing!.

United KingdomNo breakfast, no cup or milk in room to make a drink. Desperatly needs some deccorating. Not enough sound proofing so could here everything outside my door. Morning staff not very friendly.
Room was warm and clean. Location is good, not too far from the coach station and both pimlico and victoria tube stations. Check in lady was nice. Basic tv but thats all you need.
