Very outdated. A few things not up to scratch in the room, broken remote control, toilet slow to flush and lid kept falling down. We had a cosy double but the shower is tiny and bathroom is very small. Stair carpets worn in places. A bit expensive for the accommodation we had.

Location was good and close to all amenities.

Room was dated, certainly not what it looked like in picture when i booked.sockets in room not working, they put in an extension lead, not a nice view from our window,(which was very dirty), and the toilet made a horrendous noise for about ten mins after it was flushed. Tv kept losing the picture and signal.(we know people come for a break and don't watch the TV, but it's the principle of it). We asked for an iron (I forgot to pack one) and we got one then found out that it didn't work.Shower had very little water flow, sticker said very hot water, but it was luke warm. I feel im moaning a lot but it was OK couldn't fault the staff or the location.

Location was beautiful with everything you need on your doorstep.

The hotel, like so many in the region, is old and outdated. The floor squeaked every step you took. The bathroom was just OK. It needed updating.

Ideal location right on sea front.Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was as good as possible when catering for a large number of people. Didn't do evening meals. Staff OK, not over friendly. Wouldn't stay again.

The rooms were okay, but everything could do with upgrading. The beds in some of the rooms are very hard, and can feel the springs. Both lounges were unbearably hot, and there was no ventilation as the windows didn't open. All radiators like a furnace and the sun also heating these rooms.

The location was excellent. The food was okay, but they did cater for children when asked, as there was no children's menu. Bedding and towels were very clean.

The hotel was very run down, which was somewhat expected and reflected in the price. We didn't report anything at the hotel. However, on one day, employees were arguing loudly at the reception area, which wasn't a good representation of the hotel.

    The location was great.

Parking… no chef… told to go elsewhere for dinner… for a hotel that size it’s unacceptable… no way I was going out in the rain… starved till brekkie.

Decent price … dated and no hot food. No chef… bedrooms dated… reflected in price. Clean and would stay again

Room decoration and fittings were very tired. Could only get a trickle of cold water from bath/shower tap. TV reception kept breaking up. There was rain water leaking through the windows onto the tables in the bar conservatory.

Its location. Convenient for our plans.

The window in the room was broken so couldn't be closed. The shower was dirty. The front door & lift are so tiny it's difficult to manoeuvre a suitcase.

Absolute bargain. Very straightforward to find. The view to the sea was great.

Although there are features that remind you of grandeur of earlier years, generally the hotel is showing its age. We merely booked a room, giving us flexibility to use all of Oban's facilities, so did not experience the hotel restaurant. Windows are single glazed, with aged frames.

The room was very spacious, and away from the corridor, so no noise from people walking passed. Beautiful view of the bay.

Food was disappointing. Service was slow. Room decor was dated. Hotel needs renovated. Window wouldn’t stay open, holes in wall.

Ami on reception (manager?) was amazing. Real asset to the hotel. Friendly and welcoming. Dealt with issues as they came up. Also the location was great and view from room amazing.
