Breakfast choice not great. No boiled eggs no fried eggs no black pudding. Window in room had a big gap at either end and it didn’t open properly or close properly

Sea view was great. Room comfortable and clean. Great location. Window wasn’t great as it didn’t open or close properly as sash was missing

When I made my reservation I specified that I would need a parking space. I then received an email asking me to call the morning of my arrival. In fact, the person at the front desk told me when I called that it was an automated message that should have been deleted and that the 20 or so spots were on a first come first served basis. I actually stayed two nights and had to park my car in a public parking lot 200 meters away.

    Nothing 😑

Room is very tired and very dated. Bathroom needs a complete overhaul. Breakfast was OK - Not the best quality and no haggis?!? Embarrassed this is what tourists experience in the heart of Scotland. £341 for 2 nights (small double) bed and breakfast - wish we'd booked a Premier Inn.

Floorboards were so sqeeky in room above ours .we were 118...so loud and noisy that we were wide awake at 5 a.m.through someone moving about above us.i know its an older hotel and expected some sort of querks but the floorboard noise was bad. Breakfast was decent but would have been better if it had the Scottish touches of black pudding and haggis. No continental ham and cheese but croissants were nice and various cereals available. Some carpets were a little warn in places and the handrails from the main entrance were worn and patched up. No cover for smokers where the nominated smoking areas were which given the Scottish weather was not good. But overall given the position and staff and the fading grandeur of the hotel its an enjoyable hotel to stay in.

Hotel location in Oban Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were warm and beds comfortable. Breakfast was OK but could have had scottish touches. Plenty of spacious public rooms which are comfortable with excellent views over the Oban harbour and town. Tea and coffee in the room was a nice touch which doesn't happen in a lot of hotels nowadays.

Very outdated. A few things not up to scratch in the room, broken remote control, toilet slow to flush and lid kept falling down. We had a cosy double but the shower is tiny and bathroom is very small. Stair carpets worn in places. A bit expensive for the accommodation we had.

Location was good and close to all amenities.

Room was dated, certainly not what it looked like in picture when i booked.sockets in room not working, they put in an extension lead, not a nice view from our window,(which was very dirty), and the toilet made a horrendous noise for about ten mins after it was flushed. Tv kept losing the picture and signal.(we know people come for a break and don't watch the TV, but it's the principle of it). We asked for an iron (I forgot to pack one) and we got one then found out that it didn't work.Shower had very little water flow, sticker said very hot water, but it was luke warm. I feel im moaning a lot but it was OK couldn't fault the staff or the location.

Location was beautiful with everything you need on your doorstep.

The hotel, like so many in the region, is old and outdated. The floor squeaked every step you took. The bathroom was just OK. It needed updating.

Ideal location right on sea front.Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was as good as possible when catering for a large number of people. Didn't do evening meals. Staff OK, not over friendly. Wouldn't stay again.
