The scallops starter appeared to be one scallop cut into thirds. The English breakfast was lacking. Restaurant staff a little moody.

As indicated above i had booked a room with a garden view the room I had didn't have any view. Sat nav didn't get me to the property but just kept going for a further mile or so and easily found.

the staff were friendly and attentive. There was a roaring fire in the bar which was really welcoming, I had a meal in the evening ( Sunday roast) which was good and breakfast equally as good. The room i booked said it would be a garden view this didn't materialise had a view of some outbuilding ( ground floor). This said it wasn't an issue this was a business trip had the visit been for leisure then i would have raised it as an issue. The room was great comfy bed a very modern shower room with an excellent shower ( good pressure)

Everything, the room was lovely, the bed comfy, the breakfast excellent. The location was beautiful and peaceful and the building was a marvelously well maintained 16th century coach house.

The room (dog friendly) was immaculate and the bathroom excellent with quality towels and toiletries. The furnishing were very pleasant, bed and pillows super comfy. The restaurant had a good selection of food and wines and breakfast was excellent too.

However the service in the morning did not leave a very good impression with us. Not as much as a thankyou or did you enjoy your stay from the young lady on the desk as we were leaving.

What's not to like? We didn't want to leave.

What a beautiful place to stay. Everything was perfect for a peaceful getaway with our little dog, Buddy. The accommodation was so well maintained and comfortable, and we loved the food in the cosy, characterful pub. We felt very welcome and well looked after by all of the friendly staff. We will definitely make a return visit soon.

I got there late (about 10.20pm). It was a little tricky finding a door to get in and i had to phone the place first to get them to let me in. PIt was probably my fault for assuming that, as it was a pub, it would have the doors open until 11:00 and it was all very last minute.

Plenty of character and comfortable room. Cooked breakfast was very nice indeed.

We booked a small double room well the room was not small it was a comfortable size and the bathroom was nearly as big as the bedroom, with a powerful shower Tea and coffee bags , very good quality ,bottled water supplied in the room, a big comfortable bed and a really nice breakfast finished off a very enjoyable stay

There was no hot water from the bathroom sink. There was a loud noise like a boiler or something making it hard to sleep. Hair dryer in the bathroom doesn’t work.

It’s a very historic building and access is a little tricky for those without full mobility.

Nice atmosphere in restaurant/bar. First class cooked breakfast. Staff went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible. Really comfy bed. Just very little to fault.

Warm welcome on arrival and shown to our room. Room was spacious and exceeded our expectations. Lovely bathroom, towels and toiletries. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and the finishing touch was the breakfast table allocated, was the number of our room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ideal location for our needs.

Indifferent 'pub grub' for the evening meal and breakfast was cold plates only due to kitchen renovations taking place but we did receive a discount for this.

Warm, comfortable welcome and good ambience. Room well-cleaned and equipped; friendly staff and good draught beer options at the bar. Ample parking.
