For a longer stay it might be useful to have a shelf or some drawers in the room to store clothes, but space is fine for a short stay.

Excellent breakfast served in pleasant room looking out on a lovely garden. Lunch and dinner were also excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive. Rooms are comfortable, and the large garden has an outstanding view of the surrounding countryside.

Pillows were a bit hard (I kept forgetting to ask for softer ones) and the room could have done with somewhere to put a suitcase.

The room was stunning. The location was in a beautiful village close to many tourist attractions and in easy reach of Brighton. Staff were friendly and helpful and I felt comfortable eating there alone. Food was very good . No bar noise at night. The room was a comfortable temperature and I could control the radiators. Lots of hot water.

Large wet dogs allowed in the breakfast room .

A tad pricey

Flies attacted to the frame containing the cricket bat, which was visibly dirty with grease on the glass. Fire was not lit, despite it being mid-winter and raining.

The room was looking a little tired. The bedding and pillows were fibre filled. We would have preferred natural, softer materials..

The Griffin Inn has a wonderful atmosphere about it. The decor is rich, warm and timeless. Staff are friendly and most helpful. The breakfast choice is plentiful and high quality. The room was comfortable with high quality toiletries provided.

Lovely Pub with delightful staff. Dinner and breakfast were amazing. Room was clean and bed very comfortable only disappointment was the view from the room, which was the side of the marquee. Worth taking a walk round the Church and Village. Will definately be back for another stay.

No iron in the room, but we did have an ironing board 🤷🏻‍♀️ Club bar was cold on first afternoon.

The food was ok but not great. The menu has some exciting starters, and main courses are more traditional pub classics, but fairly limited options. We all thought that the food was far too expensive for what it was - London prices but quality just wasn't there.

Beautiful inn that has plenty of character, located in a very picturesque village. We absolutely loved our room and the décor of the pub, especially the super cosy fireplace. There are many walks in the area so the location is great too.

Wasn't really comfortable with the need for entering personal information in order to access the wifi. Decided not to and used my mobile broadband only.

Sadly not enough staff on on the night we ate in the restaurant. We were more or less ignored at our table and it took 40 minutes to get a starter and over an hour for a main course. My fish was dry and part of my meal was missing. We did discuss with manager who offered complimentary drinks. But very disappointing as we had been recommended and had high expectations for the price.

Room rather small. Tiny shower self-contained outside of bathroom Could hear people moving around in room above. Waste bin not emptied from previous occupants ☹️

Very Comfortable accommodation, fantastic village pub and very friendly staff. Food was Fantastic, both the evening meal and Full English were exceptional. Lovely village and nice part of the UK to visit.

It is overpriced for the room. The room was comfortable but not outstanding. For £185 a shower would have been nice for example.
