Walls between rooms need some insulation adding, as you can hear every word the people in the neighbouring rooms say, including people snoring, and using the bathroom etc. We felt like we had to whisper the whole time. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, both waking with bad backs. I would advise asking guests what time they plan on having breakfast each day, as on the second morning we all showed up at once and they seemed very overwhelmed, we noticed they missed items from another tables order, although they did apologise profusily. Other places we have stayed ask for the time you plan on having breakfast, then they are well prepared for you, with everything ready to go when you get there.

On arrival the attention was fantastic the service was second to none. Food and Drink was excellent and the service again was fantastic even as they had had a full dining room full of Christmas meals.

Not a negative, but their security lights could do with being a bit more proactive as navigating back to the rooms and the carpark was a bit tricky in these bleak winter nights!

Very minor issue but as we stayed 2 nights I did expect the room to be cleaned and tea, coffee & biscuits to be replenished & dirty cups replaced etc.

Roomy was cosy and food was good home cooking with generous portions.

It's not something that the H&C could improve on per se, it's just to bear in mind the walls are quite thin and you can hear a lot of other people's movements/ conversations/ snoring etc. But this is no reflection on the venue itself, just an observation. If you're a light sleeper it's worth bearing in mind.

Attention to detail was such a nice touch, they'd thought of everything and you could tell that they really care about their guests. The room was clean, cosy and well equipped. The drinks and breakfast we had were also lovely! Very easy to find, and in lovely surroundings.

The evening menu was perhaps a bit limited. My wife's meal (the Yorkshire pudding wrap) fell rather short of expectations but they didn't charge us for it so that's pretty fair.

Dog friendly ! The cooked breakfast was great. Plenty of choice and you could choose the individual items you wanted off the breakfast menu. The staff were very attentive. The room was plenty big enough, comfortable and clean.
