We could hear the noise from the road but I had my ear plugs so wasn’t too much of a problem

Perfectly clean and lovely decor. Staff were brilliantly attentive. Bed was comfortable and shower was nice. Breakfast was great!

A beautiful place to stay with the most amazing staff! The rooms were decorated beautifully and were very comfortable. What makes it special are all the staff who are so pleasant and welcoming. Exceptional staff with out exception!

Fabulous stay in a beautifully renovated coaching Inn.Spacious well appointed room & comfy bed . All staff members were lovely & friendly. Great location with a view of the dam & well placed for Saltburn & North Yorkshire costal resorts.

The decor was somewhat sterile and too modern for the age of the building which would suit armchairs , chesterfield type sofas and older paintings and furnishings such as antiques , which is what we would expect in a country pub or coaching inn.

Good location for coast , breakfast service excellent , staff very friendly and polite . The bacon was not very tasty but a good portion of scrambled eggs . The room was very clean with good facilities and the bed was very comfy.

The toilet leaked all night but wasn't anything bad.

Staff were excellent, very friendly and informative. food was out of this world and breakfast was superb. We will be back for a one night stay again. Thank you to all the staff for making us welcome keep up the Excellent work.

Please be aware that there are no evening meals available at the hotel, as food finishes at six. The bar is still open. However there is a pub only two miles (3 minutes drive) down the road (The Jolly Sailor) with very good food available in the evening.

The only niggle was ordering food by 5.45. Totally understood the reason but it’s the only thing that I would change.

Would have been nice to have more storage in the room as there were no drawers. Some hooks to hang up clothes but mainly everything was in the case.

Everything was exceptional. The food was amazing! We had a Sunday Roast when we arrived which was delicious and a great portion. The individual gravy boats were a massive hit as we all love gravy. We had breakfast included in our stay and it's definitely a great breakfast. You can tell everything is made with top ingredients and a good variety on offer. The staff.. wow! The service at breakfast in particular was amazing. We were constantly asked if we wanted anything else, any additional drinks etc. All the staff were polite and just super friendly. The rooms were beautiful. Loved the decor and super clean. Our toddler decided his favourite thing to do was put his shoe in the bin in the bedroom. Although we kept taking it out we didn't realize he did it again and the bins were emptied. We explained to the staff before we left AND THEY CHECKED THE BINS FOR US! We have been reunited with his shoe. I am so thankful for them even offering to check the bins, luckily it was the first one they checked. If that doesn't say enough about the staff and the service I don't know what will. There was a lovely outdoor play area which our son loved. A little mini golf which he walked through but didn't play and it's opposite a reservoir to it's a beautiful location. If we are ever up that way again I will not hesitate to make a return visit.

It's on a main road and nothing else in walking distance. Kitchen, last order at 6h45 pm which we didn't realise.

Haha - the weather of course!

Limited food selection in the evenings but what was available was very enjoyable. Breakfast was the BEST, set us up nicely for the day ahead. Bedrooms with en-suite were very comfortable and had all that you would want. The staff looked after us and we couldn't have asked for more. Fabulous setting with the Scaling Reservoir opposite showing an abundance of wild life to watch. Cannot wait to visit again and have already booked a week in June. So much to see and do and only a few miles from the North Yorkshire coast. Thank you to all the staff, especially Julie and Keith.

Lovely, welcoming, happy, smiley staff and very helpful and welcoming on the phone when i telephoned for advice. The room was decorated to a high standard and so clean. Tasty, fresh baked foods and breakfast included in price. The staff really made a difference in the experience.

I couldn't recommend Jack and Jill's enough, the staff were so accommodating, friendly and approachable and made me feel super welcome. They allowed late checkout for me as I was attending a wedding later on in the day which really helped and no request was too much.
