Rooms were in process of being decorated - broken cabinet, no toilet seat or lid, no shelf in bathroom for washing items and wallpaper hanging off wall

At only £45 for the night I wasn’t expecting too much. No extra facilities (not even a bin in the room/bathroom) but there was a tv. Beds okay but paper thin pillows very uncomfortable. Location was good for we needed, decent size car park. Room was relatively dusty with dried ‘stuff’ on the walls. Stank of cigarettes, live music was on till about 11pm which was quite loud but stopped afterwards so wasn’t too bothered. Overall you get what you pay and as a last minute booking I’d probably go again due to the fact we arrived, slept and left

The windows in the room were locked. That made me uneasy because it’s an escape route in case of fire. No tea making facilities in the room. We went to order breakfast which is advertised but was only offered an egg or bacon sandwich. Still no cup of tea offered.

Pub was nice and staff are lovely. The rooms are basic but clean.

Mattress was uncomfortable (needs replacing/better quality). Fan in bathroom didn’t work, sink in bathroom took an eternity to empty, plaster broken off window surround.

The walls, radiator, and inside of the toilet looked dirty. We had been warned by Uber drivers that the area was a bit rough and dangerous so we had to be careful.

The beds were very clean and comfortable. The fresh towels were also clean, and we were given shower gel and hand soap. The radiator was very warm. Very friendly staff.

Could have done with a glass/plastic cup in room to get a drink. Was a bit nippy and radiator not working. I didn't mention anything, but I'm sure they would have sorted it if I had. Didn't have everything at breakfast but compensated with extra of other things.

Basic accommodation booked at a reasonable price and met our expectations for what we had paid and what we had anticipated from photos. No frills, budget room. Great that noise from the bar below wasn't heard in room and the staff were absolutely exceptionally friendly. Everything was clean.

The mattress in my room wasn't great. I had booked a double room but was initially given keys to a twin. Hotel placed blame on booking.com I was fortunate that another guest who booked a double room had cancelled and was given theirs.

I am a returning customer and know what to expect - the most basic of facilities but clean, and quiet. I left before breakfast was served.

There was no WiFi, the staff gave us the password. We tried it numerous of times and it did not work. The TV also did not work properly and there was no remote control

My third stay - the first in room 14. The mattress was very soft and springy. There was noise from guests after I had turned in at 1 a.m. and at 5.45 a.m. Music was being played loudly in the bar on my arrival but it stopped at 1 a.m. It didn't affect my stay but may have affected other guests in nearby rooms who went to bed earlier.

Breakfast was not available but this did not matter, because I knew where I could get a decent one nearby before setting off for home. Bed linen and towels were clean, as was the bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised to see a waste basket in the bathroom.

First room hadn’t been cleaned, second room very poor quality bed, no batteries in tv remote, no tea/coffee making in room, very noisy fellow guests

The staff tried to give me a room with flooded toilet, when I didn’t accepted, she offered me a room where somebody ( other customers) left stuff inside, such as clothes, drinks, hair strightner…Because I hadn’t other option, I accepted. But a big NO for next time.
