Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe charge for parking. It was a steep uphill walk to the car park -a good job my partner is fit. There’s also a lot of corridor walking even to reach the lifts.
The swimming pool in the health spa was a great bonus and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a very good selection, but the cooked food was losing its heat. Perhaps we should have booked an earlier time. We enjoyed the chicken in a basket snack food in the bar and that was ideal as we didn’t want a lot, having eaten earlier. Overall it was good value for what we paid with booking.com. It’s ideal for an overnight stay and we would stay again.

United KingdomRestaurant options and Room Service food options were not appealing nor diverse (even for no dietary requirements). It would be nice to have more gluten-free options, too. It would help to have a lift between the Ground and First floor, especially for people who struggle to use the stairs. Once, when the fire alarm went off, guests on my landing were confused and left to a meeting point. No one communicated to us about what happened and no one came to meet us. I called the Main Reception Desk but was met with voicemail because I called on a Saturday outside work hours. We waited for a long time before either returning to rooms when the alarm stopped, or abandoned waiting and left to the main Manor Resort where everything was functioning well with no awareness of the fire alarm in the Manor House. This felt dangerous, neglectful and unprofessional. Otherwise, it was a nice and restful stay.
Good gym facilities and exercise classes. Good air conditioning system in the room. Polite, friendly and respectful staff, especially the cleaning staff. Good daily cleaning service. It is nice to have activities to sign up for. Good decor and presentation.

United KingdomThe bathroom had a mild odour from the drains. This is possibly the older part of the complex, the cleaning team should consider dosing the whb and bath traps with a dose of disinfectant to keep it fresh on entry.
Reception staff were excellent, bedding and bathroom was clean. However the bathroom had a mild odour from the drains.

United KingdomThe room was very cold when we arrived so turned the heating up and went into the main hotel to get something to eat. We were told that afternoon tea was fully booked so go go to the bar with the piano, they said that we could order food as there was over an hour waiting time. This was very disappointing as it was lunchtime and we thought we would be able to get food when we arrived. We were able to order food after asking several times and waiting an hour and a half. When we went back to the room the temperature hadn't moved so got into bed made a cup of tea to warm up. My partner did phone reception but kept ringing off
Thought the room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, staff were friendly, enjoyed the breakfast

United Kingdom- booked dinner at front desk, no record when we went to dinner, which caused confusion and delay - toilet flush broke on arrival. Fixed but weren’t given a time estimation so unable to use the toilet or shower which caused inconvenience and delay in our plans - after toilet had been fixed, front desk rang to say another room was available. Even after explaining that the toilet had been fixed, he became insistent that we moved and confrontational when I said no because we had already been delayed and wished to get ready for dinner - We received a second maintenance visit even though only one was necessary - we booked breakfast at the front desk but no record which caused inconvenience and delay of having breakfast by having to return to the desk and sorting - We left our bathers in the room which has caused some difficulty in getting them back - We were charged for an additional round of drinks that we did not order or sign for

United KingdomThe room at Manor house is small and looks average at same level as budget inns but at a dearer price. The king size bed is actually two mattresses joined together.
5 star facilities with free use of pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, the place is elegant and the surrounding green golfing ranges are pleasing sight. Food at Olive tree and the Grill are quite special.
