It was a bit confusing on where to park and find my way to Manor House reception through main hotel.

Spacious room, great facilities for guests to use. Varied help yourself breakfast.

No elevator from ground floor to first floor. So be mindful of this if you have luggage to carry up first flight of stairs.

The bed was comfortable. Room temperature controls not working but a heater was provided quickly. Very nice room

Car parking is quite a long walk from the hotel room. Hotel is quite "spread out" and no lift (stairs only) between Ground Floor and First Floor. No concierge service for luggage handling. Ok for me, but would urge caution to those considering a visit who have limited / reduced mobility.

Excellent breakfast. Very much enjoyed the leisure facilities (swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam/sauna). A stone's-throw for the ICC Newport ahere I was attending a conference. Easy access from the M4.

The Website for 'The Manor House at Celtic Manor' led me to believe we were staying in a Manor House, which was not the case. Our room was in a modern block on the 4th Floor. There were 3 fire alarms, two of which were late at night and got us out of bed only to be a false alarm. If we had the window open there was a continuous roar from the M4. It was a very long walk to the main hotel foyer, although the auto start escalators do make the walk a lot easier.

Restaurants all good, bus shuttle service excellent. Piano player very good although a bit samey each night.

Breakfast, I loved the fact that you could use both resort and the manor. However, Considering the size of the resort there should have been more than one island serving food.

My overall experience was very good! I love the different amenities it was a great time!

The air conditioning wasn’t great - on the hottest night of the year too. The toilet looked like it was going to overflow a lot. The bath had stains in it. The key card did not work on our phone. Breakfast at the Manor House was ok although don’t look up at the windows at the back above as they are dirty. The food at Rafters was ok although we had to wait along time for it to arrive.

Some of the restaurants were pricey; I would have appreciated more gluten-free options (though, I appreciate this can be a little niche). The hotel location is good for isolation, but there wasn't a lot to do outside of the resort. Newport is a good location for travel to other cities e.g. Cardiff. It did feel like some of the restaurant staff need a bit more training

I like the room size and the bathroom facilities; the cleaning staff were great. When asked for help, all staff were accommodating; in particularly, I liked the staff providing the shuttle car service and the cleaning. The Pad restaurant staff were polite.

Needs works in Manor House rooms. Tatty for the price. Stains on wallpaper, lack of plug sockets and no usb ones fitted. Old bathroom fittings. one van driver was awkward not picking up a disabled guest from outside Manor House instead making them walk down steps to his van on the road. He said he couldn’t get his van in. Something a later driver said was untrue as they drove in and dropped us to the door. Not very up with disability and food intolerance needs.

Staff and food were exceptional. Gorgeous old property. Lovely pool area in Forum.

Queued to check-into The Manor for 30-40minutes at 4pm, before a 2nd member of staff appeared at the counter. The lift was broken so we carried cases to 4th floor room & had a tortuous walk to car park.

Delicious, high quality generous breakfast and enormous comfortable bed. Use of impressive swimming pool facility. Availability of Welsh goodies.

Room was like a furnace - 26 degrees on the thermostat even though it was only about 22 outside! Air con just blew hot air and was loud.

Reception staff and restaurant staff were great. Pad restaurant food was great.

Breakfast was a little average for the price Merlin’s bar was a shambles, hopeless service and then the food was really poor, a £16.50 pizza that you wouldn’t feed to a dog, soft, doughy, nearly no topping. I complained and they charged me anyway.

Room was great, comfortable and quality toiletries etc. Grounds are beautiful Pool area was well run and worked well.

Double was booked but it was a twin room took ages for the bed to be rearranged housekeeping were polite main problem for us was the room stank of cigarette smoke me and my partner are non smokers the smoke alarm was covered in a plastic bag housekeeping were apologetic but the manager refused to give us another room as apparently full so just a spray of air freshener not really satisfactory at all

Food excellent and staff friendly but smelly nicotine room set as a twin when we ordered a double took about 45 minutes to resolve bed issue and smelly nicotine issue un resolved which tainted the whole stay
