Too much has gone online and this detracts from the traditional meet and greet service

Car Parking - distance and charges. Arriving at the place and not being able to access conveniently, having to then move my car to a distant car park

The parking. You either pay £10 per 24hrs or £20 per 24hrs which I failed to research beforehand so that came as an unhappy shock. You can drop off outside the manor house but only for 20mins not very convenient especially if you were slow moving or the reception was.. from the time I arrived to actually taking in my room.. 45 minutes! It was a 10 minute walk from my car to my room. Well at least I got some steps in. Tip to the reception staff at the manor.. spend less time explaining menu options and more time actually explaining directions. The twin room was a free upgrade but the beds were two singles pushed together and really uncomfortable sadly. Don't be too persuaded by a posh ideal but at the same time it is a lovely place to stay.

Very clean and a lovely sized room. Bathroom was excellent, bath and shower superb. The hotel itself is very nice, attached to the main hotel. Pretty surroundings and well organised. Didn't eat there, but a few choices available and a tad pricey, looked good. It was a last minute treat for myself so splashed out a bit rather than my usual level of accommodation.. (cheap and cheerful!) The manor house is grand. Cleaning staff very friendly and helpful.

The card Machines did not work, so when i tried to pay for dinner, i could not pay on the machine, only added to the room. The food was very expensive for what it was....£40 for a Buffet menu, for £16.50 for a over cooked, cheesy pizza. The Bed in the room, was very small!

The Hotel was a stunning venue. The staff upon entry were very friendly and the process of booking in was very easy. Using the app to order food was very good.

The charge for parking. It was a steep uphill walk to the car park -a good job my partner is fit. There’s also a lot of corridor walking even to reach the lifts.

The swimming pool in the health spa was a great bonus and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a very good selection, but the cooked food was losing its heat. Perhaps we should have booked an earlier time. We enjoyed the chicken in a basket snack food in the bar and that was ideal as we didn’t want a lot, having eaten earlier. Overall it was good value for what we paid with booking.com. It’s ideal for an overnight stay and we would stay again.

Restaurant options and Room Service food options were not appealing nor diverse (even for no dietary requirements). It would be nice to have more gluten-free options, too. It would help to have a lift between the Ground and First floor, especially for people who struggle to use the stairs. Once, when the fire alarm went off, guests on my landing were confused and left to a meeting point. No one communicated to us about what happened and no one came to meet us. I called the Main Reception Desk but was met with voicemail because I called on a Saturday outside work hours. We waited for a long time before either returning to rooms when the alarm stopped, or abandoned waiting and left to the main Manor Resort where everything was functioning well with no awareness of the fire alarm in the Manor House. This felt dangerous, neglectful and unprofessional. Otherwise, it was a nice and restful stay.

Good gym facilities and exercise classes. Good air conditioning system in the room. Polite, friendly and respectful staff, especially the cleaning staff. Good daily cleaning service. It is nice to have activities to sign up for. Good decor and presentation.

The bathroom had a mild odour from the drains. This is possibly the older part of the complex, the cleaning team should consider dosing the whb and bath traps with a dose of disinfectant to keep it fresh on entry.

Reception staff were excellent, bedding and bathroom was clean. However the bathroom had a mild odour from the drains.

A little dated. The decor needs updating - carpets in the room are worn in places and the walls need re-painting and refreshing.

    Convenient for visiting my relatives.

The room was very cold when we arrived so turned the heating up and went into the main hotel to get something to eat. We were told that afternoon tea was fully booked so go go to the bar with the piano, they said that we could order food as there was over an hour waiting time. This was very disappointing as it was lunchtime and we thought we would be able to get food when we arrived. We were able to order food after asking several times and waiting an hour and a half. When we went back to the room the temperature hadn't moved so got into bed made a cup of tea to warm up. My partner did phone reception but kept ringing off

Thought the room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, staff were friendly, enjoyed the breakfast
