Everything is good so no complaints

We’ve stayed here a few times and always enjoyed our stay, the breakfast is very good and you can enjoy a lovely curry on the evening. The manager who covered breakfast and dinner was professional, polite and really friendly, we will be back for a couple of days in September.

Not a place to have a drink very much an eating pub. If you like real ale only one beer available.

Location in the village. Room was comfortable. Food was very good. Breakfast was basic not massive choice but cooked on request. Had a lot worse and have paid a lot more

The rather basic room - sparsely furnished with very limited storage space which is not great when you are staying for several nights.

The superb old building beautiful set in a lovely village. The pleasant and efficient staff, particularly the manager. A special mention for the excellent Indian food.

There were only two tiny windows in our room and it was a very hot day/evening: the windows either need changing to bigger, opening windows or air conditioning needs installing!

    The food was very good.

It was a shame that grass in the rear garden was so long that we couldn’t sit outside on a lovely day. Especially as there were several bench seats. However, there were a couple of tables at the front of pub and entrance. A grab handle would have been appreciated above the bath.

Excellent restaurant for food and service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good to have the choice of Indian and English cuisine. We enjoyed dinner last Saturday immensely. Breakfast was also very good. Convenient to have a ground floor room in adjacent annexe. Plenty of car parking available. Good for our base in a nice quiet village as it is near to Rutland Water etc.

The room needed a bit of life. Plain cream walls, no pictures, basic wardrobe and dresser, no curtains so light came through the sides.

Food was delicious and the bed was comfy

The power of the hairdryer could have been better but this is more a point to consider when the hairdryers require replacing. It did dry my hair.. it just took a little longer.

The hotel was lovely. The staff were extremely helpful and very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent made with good quality products and the evening meal was very enjoyable. Value for money was very good and I would certainly stay in this hotel again. The room had everything you would require and the bed was very comfortable. Quiet rural location... perfect.. and free on site parking.. bonus!!! Lovely stay.

Service at dinner time was slow. Long wait for food.

Excellent place to stop for the night enroute to our next destination. Quiet location in a small village was exactly what we were looking for. Comfortable, clean rooms. The availability of Indian food in a rural setting, alongside classic British fare was a bonus. However for us, the best thing was the superb service and the extremely warm and friendly staff. They really made us feel welcomed.

Walls were a bit thin, so I could hear someone snoring in an adjoining room in the night. Plug socket for phone charger was a bit difficult to access (down the back of the bed). But these are just minor quibbles.

Really helpful and friendly staff who went the extra mile to make guests feel looked after. Amazing food and good service in the restaurant. Comfortable room with a really comfortable bed. Plenty of space for car parking.
