Front is normally frendly and kind to Customers but I could say few representative was found a little clumsy & unskilled. (I need to request them to change my invoie mistakely issued)

With perfect location in middle of London and easy access to all business complex, it was so convenient.

In our room there were multiple items which were damaged or broken including the shower head and curtain railings. When we got into our room all the cupboards doors and drawers were open which was really strange

The room was cold with a draft coming in the window, the plug in the sink didn’t work and there wasn’t much selection with the breakfast.

It was a beautiful building and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Bit of a trek to the room Was charged £50 on the day to have beds moved apart to make it a twin room. A bit much.

Breakfast was ok, it lacked quantity especially on the English Breakfast since it was £19 per day which is significantly overpriced for what was available.

Rooms were comfy and spacious. Liked having a seperate comfy chair to sit in that wasnt a desk chair.

Not the easiest to get to unless you know London well

The hotel is decorated lovely. Smells nice throughout too. Nice dining area for breakfast, good breakfast too but pricey at £25pp. My room was quite small but clean. The bed was really comfortable. It was a little noisy being close to the road and could hear external doors opening and closing outside my room. The shower leaked and the plug hole was stuck. The shower wall tray and tiles were also damaged. Even though it didn’t affect my stay much, for the price I paid I’d expect it to be nicer.

Bed and pillows could be softer! Air conditioning seemed very random. Not at the five star rating in my opinion, sets expectations too high for what is still an excellent hotel.

The room was spacious and the facilities good. Other reviews had mentioned this was not a five star hotel and I have to agree, but neither was the price at the level of a five star hotel in London. For the price it was excellent value for money based on location, facilities and size of room. All staff were very friendly.

The first room we went to the aircon didn’t work, when we complained they took us to 4 separate rooms to find one that actually had everything working, the next day we were woken up by a fire alarm started by someone showering? At 7.30 then 8.30, we complained about this and the staff were nothing but helpful but miscommunication is a bit of an issue, we were promised room service and then evening staff did not get told so said we would get charged. This was resolved but having to constantly argue was quite frustrating.

The staff were fantastic when we approached with multiple issues and couldn’t do more to help us amend this.

Bed was too soft but this is a personal preference. Distance was further from the city and attractions than we had anticipated. The constant humming of what we thought was the air con units when sleeping, was tricky. No window in the room that could open for fresh air, couldn’t turn on the air con either, sharp bits on the bath rail where the covering was coming away and a huge gap under the door, mismatched cups and not enough decaffeinated drink choice in the room.

    Cleanliness and friendly staff.

My room was right next a what I think was a generator. It was going off all day and night so it interrupted my sleep a lot. Even though the windows were closed it was really loud. I went to try and get a good night sleep before continuing my travels however this did stop me from doing so.

Overall the hotel is old, with old furniture and for sure in need of a renovation. Also we ordered room service one night, 2 pizzas took almost 1,5 hours to get after 2 follow up calls.

The best thing about our stay at this hotel is how great and customer oriented Alex O from the reception was. She helped answer all our questions, helped with breakfast and changed our rooms so we can be close to each other. Full English Breakfast was also delicious and very rich.

Rooms were freezing and temp control didn't work. Building is bewilderingly complex to navigate - not suitable for those with mobility issues. Impossible to find the gym unaccompanied which means going to reception for an escort. Room had lights that were impossible to turn off and water took an age to run hot. Meeting room was particularly poor and so cold we abandoned the meeting to work in our rooms. Staff nice but ultimately unhelpful. Definitely not luxury or 5 star.

Location is perfect for conferences held at the brewery and for the Barbican

Looking a little tired in places but in a homey lived in way

Comfortable relaxed hotel. I like the fact it’s a repurposed brewery which makes it quirky rather than identikit - even if the floor plan can be confusing at times as a result

I was In a group of 6 l, all colleagues, in London for a training course, I was treated very different by the lady that checked me in and out, I understand that it may be hotel policy to charge a £50 deposit (although we found it wierd as had paid in full for our rooms) what wasn't right was that I was the only one out of 6 that had to pay a deposit, the others were given the option, i was also put in a room across the courtyard which was not anywhere near my colleagues. Upon leaving I asked the same young dark haired lady if I could have a VAT receipt for my stay, my colleagues had all been happily given one by the other staff that were serving, this particular lady seemed to have a real issue with me asking for one and said I must go through booking.com, yet my colleagues were all stood near my waving theirs in the air that they had been provided with. It just felt like from when I arrived to when I left I was treated very different yet we were all there for the same reason and in fact it was me who chose the hotel for us, I had to ring several times following our visit to ask for my deposit back eventually a lovely receptionist took it direct to her manager and they transferred it immediately this was 2 weeks later.

Lovely room except I had no plug in Bath so could not fill the bath.
