The hotel itself was immaculate, the staff was very attentive and went above and beyond especially January, she was wonderful. Hotel rooftop bar and restaurant was great. Beautiful views from the rooftop.

It is an quite old hotel, and it requires remodelling (except bathroom).

Location is perfect, and hotel is very quiet, breakfast was perfect, and staff as well!

For a 5 star hotel there wasn't a 5 star feeling. The room was comfortable but very average. I paid for access to the spa. Upon arrival we were asked if we were "members" we told them we were guests of the hotel and were told we could have 30 minutes max access. There was nobody in the spa. I wasn't expecting to be timed after paying an additional amount to access the spa.

The hotel overall was beautiful, welcomed in by the friendly staff. It was busy in the bar area as we arrived in the late afternoon. The comfy room and location were perfect for our needs. The breakfast was delicious!

There was no shower gel in the shower. We left a note asking for it to be replaced when cleaned but this wasn’t done until the evening turn back. I also corresponded with the hotel about a little something to acknowledge my dad’s birthday which was overlooked. Again none of these were major issues and they didn’t detract from the stay but they were small factors.

Jacuzzi was cold and sauna a bit dirty. There was weird canalization smell im the room.

The clocks changed that night, and we weren't aware. Other hotels I have stayed in have made guests aware either upon check-in or with a note in the room. That would've been helpful for two overseas travellers. I am coeliac and when we came down for breakfast, I was told there was nothing to eat. There was yoghurt and a few other bits and pieces but not really the greeting I wanted from a hotel that considers itself 5*. The dining staff seemed uninterested in helping me find something to eat which wad disappointing.

We chose it specifically for the location, which was great. The first room we were given smelt funny. We left the windows open when we left the room but when that didn't help, rang the front desk who immediately found us another room.

The mattress was not the comfiest, the walls and curtains were a bit worn out and stained in some places, bath tub looked like it had some leftover soap bits from previous occupancy

We asked for an early check in as it was my boyfriends birthday, called the hotel at 10.00am and was told they couldn't guarantee anything, when I arrived at the hotel I was told the room had been ready for ages and that I could of come earlier so that was slightly disappointing. However, the room had been decorated so that was a lovely touch.

No air conditioning control in bedroom so difficult to get right as has to keep asking reception to adjust. Long queue for breakfast so didn’t get into dining room until 10am but staff still started clearing bread etc away & chef not available to cook eggs to order

The only real inconvenience was, the shampoo in the shower wasn’t replaced when finished! Even when I removed the empty container from its holder, to make it more aware that container was empty.. it never got refilled!

Pool area loungers need a refreshing Steam room needs ripping out and regularly cleaning, it was gross. Fluff everywhere. And mould. Sauna no water for burner

Carpet was worn and a bit dirty. Sofa cover was ripped at the edges. Hand wash in the bathroom was empty when I checked in and was only replaced the next day. I am normally not overly fussy when it comes to those things, but from a hotel that prides itself as a 5 star and for the price I am expecting near perfection. I'd stay here again though!

Excellent location for my transportation needs about a 5 mins walk to Liverpool Street Station. Large, quiet room with comfy king bed, free water, excellent WiFi, Nespresso machine and kettle. Slippers and ropes. Very courteous staff. I did not have enough time to use the facilities, the spa or the bar and restaurants. So I cannot comment on that.
