The hotel is located above a pub and on Wednesday night when I stayed, the pub had a karaoke night until 1am and because the walls are paper thin you can hear everything and there is no way you’d be going to sleep before that.

Unfortunately the hotel disco was very loud and played until 6am. Then there was loads of young teenagers hanging around after exiting the disco shouting and singing. I knew of the disco but the volume was ridiculously loud from start to finnish.

The location was excellent and only a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. The Canal Street area is very engaging, colourful and entertaining.

The bed was a little hard for me but acceptable. Room a bit small for 2 people. Lack of clothes hanging space and no drawers. It is OK for one night, but not for 2 or more No lift, so staff had to help with cases to and from the room up and down the stairs. Expensive for mid week stay at £100 for a night

Very convenient location. Room clean and bright. Staff welcoming and helpful. Shower a decent size and the water lovely and hot.

Only one key between 5. Small tele and the toilet door handle fell off on first use however the staff did fix it straight away. Could hear the music from downstairs but it's above a pub/ club so to be expected

Be aware that the hotel is also a pub/night club so can get noisy. You also need to pay a deposit for your room key.

It was loud at night at times as this hotel was on top of a pub, and it was just on days that there were events.

The room was nice and tidy, and the amenities mentioned by the hotel were exactly what they had. They did have a small section to hang up clothes, and some tea and coffee for free as well. The room has a double bed, bathroom, TV, and heating. The location was also great, we could walk to the Piccadilly Gardens and to other nearby areas. There was a good variety of food too, by walk and on online apps.

Located a few blocks away from the main train station, New Union's facilities are perfect if you wanna enjoy Manchester and its nightlife. The bed was comfy, as much as the bathroom. The accent a bit hard to understand but I'd be glad to have further opportunities to train my hear and get a bit of the Manchesters' accent!

It's not a complaint, just some information for people reading this. At night this place turns into cabaret and it gets noisy. Like really noisy. I knew where I'm going and was kinda ready but still I underestimated the atmosphere. It's fun but if you want to have a chill night better look for something else. If you're looking for a party - you're in a right place.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, no problems during check in and check out. Plenty of space in the room and kinda everything you need for a short stay.

Please be aware the bar is open till 6am, we slept fine but we had sunk a fair few drinks!!

No ceiling light in the room which meant for 4 girls getting ready we could only use the bathroom mirror.

Fire alarm went off at 6am about 3 times. We paid £20 key deposit on arrival and told it was cash only. Then we come to get it back in the morning (£20 deposit) we were asked if we definitely paid cash.

Great location, car park very close. Staff were polite and welcoming. Room and beds were clean, fresh towels provided and shower was nice and hot.

Nothing new to report, obviously the accommodation is on top of a bar so there is some noise at night but we were warned about this and still had a very comfortable stay!

Very decent location and comfortable stay! Made it very easy to go for a drink downstairs at the bar.
