Room was spacious but the cleanliness could have been better , walking around there was dust and the toilet in our room was a little dirty , the sink in our room and the plug and around the plug was dirty / there was dust and dried up insects in window ledges on the way to reception

We had requested a twin room and were given a double. Night receptionist kindly found a twin but it was obviously a little used room - not entirely clean, big crack in shower tray and very dated decor.

Lovely location with views of Oxfordshire in most directions. Comfortable beds and quiet at night.

Receptionist was rude

Nice room, comfy bed. Good hotel. Receptionist was very rude on arrival. Not helpful at all. Said wr couldn't check in until 3 without even checking. She then looked at saw that we have booked for early check in! Great hotel but first impressions weren't great. The Reception needs to Learn some manners.

Bar snacks and room service were limited and expensive.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely big shower. The heated towel rail added to the comfort. Food in the restaurant and at breakfast was very good.

I find the signage confusing! (I’ve worked out now that you can only get to the dining room via the central staircase but signs near the bedrooms suggest otherwise)

I love the location -peaceful and beautiful outlook. The bed was so comfortable and such a spacious room.

Pool area is good but jacuzzi, showers not great. Need more toiletries and tea and coffee in room , only one of each thing.

Little dear cost for just one night. Would like early check in option

- very welcoming and helpful reception staff - allowed us to use leisure facilities whilst waiting for room. - provided drinks, towel and free locker in leisure use. - close to thame Town. - lovely breakfast and squires had drinks and light meals. - comfy bed - scenic location and free car park - clean with bath and shower and tea coffee facilities.

No offer of wine, only 1 bitter in the bar.

We were booked in as part of a group of 16 playing golf, although we had given names for rooms in advance they hadn’t advised reception of these names. Rooms were good as the AC worked properly and I was able to get the room to a nice cold level especially as it had been hot in the UK recently. Breakfast was adequate, a choice of hot breakfasts were to be ordered instead of a buffet, though fruit had to be ordered separately instead of being part the cereal buffet. We have a separate room for our evening meals which was good for our group, though no one offered us a wine list or offered to get drinks from the bar for us. Our menu choices we had to make in advance were on place names and they mixed us around between the 2 nights which was good for our group to sit with different people each evening. Great golf course with a good half way house.

Outside areas dirty, coffee from main lounge undrinkable, air conditioning didn't work, shame as we stayed on the hottest day of the year.

Interior of hotel and rooms very dated and could do with modernisation. The spa/pool was okay but changing rooms had stains on the walls and the shower was not was not powerful enough to shower afterwards

For some months now the central heating / air conditioning has not been working. However the hotel will provide heaters/fans and extra bedding if needed.

The rooms are always comfortable at the Oxfordshire, but see below. It's great to be able to use the pool, sauna. steam room and jacuzzi. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. It is a very handy venue for any events in Thame which is why we use it a lot.

Carpet in room was stained and needed hoovering. Air con not working as having maintenance. Opened our balcony door and could smell cigarette smoke from neighbouring rooms.

Large room and good size clean bathroom with shower and bath. Comfy beds. Good breakfast.

Vegetarian options were a bit bland. Drinks were expensive. Coffee in the restaurant had a strange taste.

Blonde strands of hair on the carpet next to my side of the bed, crumbs near the entrance door, the room needed a better vacuum. Bathroom clean but the radiator was VERY dusty.

Room was large and nicely decorated. Bed was very comfy. Tea and coffee facilities most welcome and the large tv too. Good sized bathroom as well.
