WiFi did not work in room 20. Dog friendly which is good but owners need to know dogs can't be with you for breakfast

Narrow single mattresses were pretty unsupportive and curtains did not block out light from flashing beacons outside on the zebra crossing. Both nights during the early hours, the tilting bathroom window somehow swung open and caused doors to bang in the wind. We booked quite a long time in advance, so the room was a disappointment. You will have to carry your suitcases up stairs, so just take what you need into the hotel as there is no one to help. Parking is on the road.

Reading light above bed 1 wasn't working, kept flickering, so couldn’t use it. The bathroom basin and toilet could do with upgrading. Otherwise a good layout in the room, would choose this room again.

Have stayed several times before. Staff very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts are fabulous and freshly cooked. Plenty of choice.

The twin room was very small especially the bathroom. The window was wedged open with a piece of wood, unsure why. Alot of dusty parts of furniture and accessories, both rooms were not 100% clean. Could have been cleaner

After 2 days of our Bar visit, the prosecco was out...

We had a nice 4 night stay with a acceptable room, excellent food and drinks and a always smiling service. Thanks for all, we like to come again. Also a big thank from our two dogs.

Some room conditions need attention , toilet seat wasn’t the best and a few grout issues around the bath and shower , wasn’t a major issue but quick fixes for both, everything else was as you would expect .

Everything was lovely , we brought our dog and was nice to have the seating area outside , maybe one table close to the bar for pets would be an idea as weather is not always good to be outside , staff have very good customer service .

No walk in shower so awkward for some people , it did however have a shower over bath.

Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff were very friendly and make us feel more than welcome. Close to all amenities. Rooms spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Would definitely return.

Thought that dinner menu was expensive. Would have preferred to have been able to order breakfast in the morning rather than the evening before.

Room was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Fly screens meant windows could be left open during heatwave. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Dinner menu had good selection.

Not much. This is an older building therefore opportunities for change are limited. The evening meal times could be extended by an hour.

A small, friendly, family-run hotel that provides a warm welcome and excellent food. Clean with an excellent ensuite shower which has obviously recently been upgraded very tastefully. The owners are working hard to improve the rooms but understandably this can't all be done in one go. We would happily return.

There is no guest lounge, with guest seating only available in the bar, as well as outside in the sun! It is a small hotel so the lack of a guest lounge is understandable, but it could be useful to be aware of this if travelling with children or planning a longer stay. Otherwise no complaints and we had a very enjoyable stay here.

We stayed for three nights and had breakfast each day and dinner in the hotel on two nights. The food was excellent. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Hotel location is excellent, with beautiful views over Dunoon's West Bay and the Firth of Clyde. The hotel is clean, room was comfortable.

Pointless heating on full blast in the bathroom and dining hall despite stuning Scottish weather. Bed mattresses rather tired and uncomfortable.

Superb welcoming staff, ideal location and fantastic quaility food in the restaurant.
