Great wee place to stay for a few days in Hay-on-Wye. No negatives to say about it.

Beware if you are a very light sleeper - the clock tower in the centre of Hay strikes very quarter hour, even throughout the night.

Super comfy super kingsize bed. Unusual and quirky accommodation which was great. Lots of information and interesting reading matter about Hay-on-Wye provided. Lovely bathroom. Everything you could need for a great stay in Hay. We saw a band (Very Santana) at the Globe Theatre in Hay, which was a great venue (and the band were brilliant). Good recommendations provided by our host for places to eat.

Goodness, nothing but absolutely STELLAR things to say and remember about my time here. Sparkling CLEAN, bed comfortable, having a wee fireplace to use is a dream. Kitchen and laundry machines handy for longer stays. After a day of book hunting and a scrummy fill-up at the nearby pub I headed back to the room. The fire was going. I had books upon books to read. It started to rain. Pure bliss. Absolutely can't beat the location - the village is charmingly compact and you'll easily pass by your room multiple times a day while wandering from bookshop to bookshop. Lovely for a lunch in or just to drop off bags of books or use the facilities (there is one downstairs and one ensuite upstairs) 10/10 would stay again.

The extra charge for a children’s bed. Maybe not very ‘pro-family’ in that respect? But it wasn’t a big deal.

Amazing accommodation, very clean, super cosy and great amenities. The bathroom was one of my favourites! If your going to Hay on wye I wouldn't look any further than this apartment! Had the best couple of days, and plan to return again in the warmer months!

Fantastic location. Beautifully decorated. Friendly host. We had a wonderful weekend away to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Pavement Palace is exceptionally decorated. All the things you need provided and lovely soft towels! Great central location. We pottered around the local shops (books galore), and ate in some delicious restaurants. Great. Thank you!

The flat had a beautiful energy to it, peaceful, warm and welcoming. I felt like it wrapped its arms around us with beautiful simple, earthy and tasteful furnishings. Highly recommend.

If I was going to be very picky, I would say that the modern plug in the bath may need attending to as it popped up and drained while I was having a luxurious soak but I have to say I find this a common problem with the new mechanisms.

The whole accommodation was tastefully decorated to an high standard and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable - huge and had a memory foam topper and lovely down duvet. All the facilities were great and in working order; the communications exceptional and timely; and it’s location in the centre of Hay perfect.

I have no complaints at all, but there are a few things worth bearing in mind. Firstly, in winter, it can be difficult to get the temperature right - it is all too easy for the kitchen to feel like a fridge and the bedroom like a sauna. Also, it is hard to move around the house without making noise (the doors are particularly loud). If one of you is an early-riser and the other one a light sleeper, this will be tricky.

A lovely house! A brilliant mixture of rustic and modern. Very tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and a duvet that was long enough for me! Hay-on-Wye is a rather small village, so location can hardly be an issue, but this one is right in the middle with all the bookshops and nice eateries within a few minutes' walk.

Beautiful property right in the middle of Hay. Really quirky but decorated very tastefully. Kitchen well equipped. Log fire a lovely bonus that kept the top floor very toasty. Bed super comfortable. Towels massive and very fluffy. Would absolutely stay again!

We stayed here as a surprise for my book-loving partners birthday. The location was perfect and our two year old loved watching people and dogs down in the street below from the windows. She's been asking to go back to the 'teapot home' ever since our stay. Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable with the added bonus of being unique and beautifully decorated. I couldn't fault it. It also had everything we needed. The only thing I was dubious about was the large bed as it felt hard at first but it ended up being extremely comfortable! I slept so well even with being heavily pregnant and with a co-sleeping toddler!

Everything about this place is perfect. From the great communication by the host, the perfect location, the most beautiful place full of beautifully designed things, the most comfortable bed in the world and a real attention to detail. We keep going back every year, it's a total treat.

In a central, quiet location, so convenient for cafes, shops and restaurants. Very well equipped throughout and a lovely, comfy bed. The bath was a real bonus. All in all perfect for a wonderfully relaxing break in beautiful Hay on Wye.
