The communal bathrooms could have been more frequently cleaned. The fifteen-person bunk room is chaotic, although it is about as much as can be expected for a hostel room of its size. The twelve-person room is probably less of a hassle for a little higher price.

The staff were very accommodating and available at late and early hours. The breakfast was a good value and available starting at 6 AM.

At room #11 with 17 persons inside it was hard to get nice rest because door is too roughly knocking when closing.

no lift, super difficult carrying luggage up and down, there was only one electrical outlet for 8 ppl to use so it made it impossible to charge our phones.

The hostel did not provide towels. lt needs more Plugs /Sockets in a sharing room. The hostel did not provide towels. One door was broken or i needed to be repaired. The hostel like many others did not privide bed sheets to change it. Like any other hostel the price usually is not the same when you are booking it.

It didn't bother me personally, but the stairs up to the rooms are steep and kind of narrow so the Phoenix might not be an ideal choice if you have any mobility restrictions.

A classic, characterful backpacker's hostel. Loved the quirky decor and sense of atmosphere, and the beds, while rather firm, were surprisingly warm and comfortable for a place in this price bracket. Location is great, just round the corner from Edgware Road and only a couple of minutes from the tube station.

It was said that the toilets and the washrooms were cleaned daily, but they were dirty (especially showers). I think this is about the people that are staying at the hostel and not about the hostel itself. The lockers were narrow, my backpack barely fit in. The bunk beds were shaky, I woke up from my sleep a lot of times during the night because the person who slept on the lower bed changed their position.

The staff was really nice. The common area is a good place to spend time and also eat your food. You could use the microwave and the refrigerator if you want. The location was great, I could go anywhere by underground and by bus.

The steps to up bunk beds are narrow and can be painful for bare feet. Insufficient toilet and shower facilities at peak times.

Staff extremely friendly, helpful and competent. The place has a student / backpacker ethos, with a bar, good pint of Guinness, and basic breakfast for £3.

I had to wait about 40 minutes to be able to use a shower in the morning and that's with quite low occupation in the hostel. A bit of a problem if you have somewhere to be.

Comfortable and quiet. Staff were very helpful and answered my questions. The downstairs is really cosy for sitting down with a bite or a drink, and the wifi connection was good.

Too many beds in one room. The outlets didn't work in the room but they brought people to fix that.

I liked the location and the staff. Everyone was very friendly. It was clean. The sheets were clean. They provided breakfast and sold voltage converters. There was a fridge to put your food in.

The property has a lot of interesting features, The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring London, as it's right in the heart of the city.
