The TV didn't work and there was no hot water. There was no breakfast available.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The price was very reasonable.

What's not to like, cheap accommodation and good food-we didn't need breakfast as we were still full from our evening meal.

The room was clean, warm and beds fairly comfortable. Plenty of teas and coffees in the room. The music from the restaurant below went off at about 10pm. The food in the restaurant was lovely and reasonably priced.

Room was cold on arrival, radiator in the bathroom doesn't work and you can't close the window as well. Room's door are very thin, you can actually hear everything. One of the 2 beds was really uncomfortable, very old spring mattress. A very big spider was floating in the kettle... Rooms are on top of Indian restaurant so little bit smelly.

The staff were quite rude, got there and they told us to sit down in an abrupt way didn’t feel welcomed at all. We didn’t get told any other information so all seemed very straight forward. We went out in York and came back early hours we tried to go through the front door but it was locked we were knocking and knocking but were being ignored then the owner stood up in nothing but a towel and came to the window and told us abruptly again to go round the back which seemed quite dodgy, we got to the back door which was opened by another member of staff and they seemed angry but we made it clear we weren’t to know. The next morning we went to check out but all the doors were locked and all the lights were out there was no one at reception so we couldn’t check out we managed to find a door that was open to get out of the building and left so we could catch our train.

The room was big enough and the bathroom was nice and clean.

No staff in the hotel overnight, very daunting if you travel alone. Wasn’t greeted in a professional manner, the door was locked behind us when we entered.

Main entrance to the hotel looks like middle of recycling centre. Carpets in hallway change colour from light grey to black . Dirt attack from every single corner on hallway’s. Room okish , very small , double bed next too the wall , also small , everything a bit sticky….

Very friendly staff , superb Indian restaurant, and unfortunately that’s it.

Feel it was over priced for the room, stated deluxe room and this was disappointing as wasn't as described. The staff that checked us in were the restaurant staff and seemed confused about us checking-in. Got there in the end.

Needs a bit of TLC. Corridor up to the rooms a bit cluttered with furniture and cleaning equipment. Doors to the bedrooms were scuffed and marked, presumably where people had used their foot to press open the doors. Skirting boards had not been cleaned and in some areas needed replacing. Some of the bedroom lights did not work. Staff were attentive in the restaurant but not when it came to the rooms, had to ask for extra pillows twice. Carpets in the corridors needed a good clean. Our room overlooked a scruffy back yard. Gardens at front needed attending to.

Good location close to Easingwold, very pretty scenery. Room very spacious, nice bathroom. Had all the facilities you could need. Nice comfy bed, slept well. Plenty of tea and coffee. Had a meal on the Saturday evening in their Indian restaurant. Food was excellent and so was the service.

Soap in the bathroom rather than just filled up with water, being advised the shower wouldn’t work with hot water until I assume the tank filled up. Had tea and coffee sachets etc in the room but no kettle in the room

outside would be great if tidied up and lights added for the late night/morning entrance. Better cleaning (cobwebs in bathroom/bedroom) and please replace mattress, dip in double bed so bad you lay on the hard frame!!

Some - not all - of the beds were very uncomfortable. Needs some new mattresses and a bit of tlc and attention to detail to improve the ratings. No teaspoon, only 2 cups in a room for 5 people, water left in the kettle. Outside area might have been a shock if we’d not already read the reviews on here but didn’t bother us.

REALLY BAD VIEW OUT THE BACK. TAKE AWAY DRIVERS A LOT OF THE NIGHT OUTSIDE MY WINDOW. NOT A GREAT HAIR DRYER FELT LIKE SOMEONE COUGHING ON MY HEAD.

The entrance is around the back and not well signed. You walk into what looks like a farm yard over a poorly kept and dark pathway. Hotels in this area are all expensive but thought this was expensive for a comfortable but basic room. However I thought the bathroom was very nice and the staff were polite and helpful.

Under the beds we're filthy .the codes for other rooms were left laying about so not really secure this matter needs immediate action. There was a tabby cat locked in the big box at the side of the caravan that was so thin it must have been in there for a very long time ,I managed to pry the bottom of the door ajar to release it ,I did try the mobile number for the hotel a few times ,still to no response four days later to try to get the cat out .
