I think the standard of the english breakfast could have been better relative to the cost of room per night.

Friendly welcoming staff, managing covid well with one way system through the pub bar. All staff wearing masks. Service speedy in the out door space. Good food, lovely breakfast, several fresh fish dishes on the specials menu, lots of choice. Pleasant location in village overlooking the village green.

Booking apparently not received from Booking.com. Special request for a desk suitable for working on and good lighting was confirmed by Booking.com but not received by hotel. The room was well lit in daytime but there was no desk. Room clean but fixtures and fittings were tired. No breakfast available and none available in the town.

My third stay here but sadly it has significantly gone down hill over the last few years. No breakfast available but this was not clear at time of booking, as my "special request" was an early breakfast in order to get to my event on time. I had no response to say there was no breakfast. I emailed the hotel the week before to check what time they stopped serving food and was told 9PM. I asked them to book me a table for 8:45 as I thought time might be tight getting back from my event but received no response. I was therefore surprised to be told, on arrival at 8:30, that the kitchen closed at 8:40. The food was basic but wholesome, although half the menu was "off". The room was generally adequate although the mattress was a little lumpy and one of the bedside lights didn't work. In the bathroom, the handbasin was cracked. The shelf above was leaning forward off the wall, so presumably guests had put items on the shelf which had then fallen into the sink. The shower unit was very small with an overhead shower, so a freezing cold initial shower was unavoidable.

Good location. Handy for Goodwood. Parking on site. Badger ales, although my second pint was just on the turn.

The bedroom was so noisy from boiler central heating it was impossible to sleep despite being told by the manager this stops at night it doesn’t.! Shower was blocked . This was the apartment and the fridge has terrible smell as it’s as turned off with door shut . If you don’t need to sleep or shower you’ll be fine.

Location was close to other facilities . There was no breakfast, dinner was available but didn’t risk it.

The staff were the differentiating factor to making our stay enjoyable. They were superb - extremely welcoming and helpful. Very nice pub and accommodation. Highly recommend.

The room was very small and hot and it wasn't the one we had booked according to the photos of the room. The bed was too small.

The situation of the Inn was great. The staff were friendly and the room was clean.

Position and good venue. Food and pub and dining room good. Service for accomodation. No service did not see one staff member for three days. No room service, no one checked. Very poor. Rooms and access very dark stairs and corridots not good access and made one not feel wrlcome at all. They just gave me the key at the bar and i did not see anyone after that.

No milk & water when we arrived, we got water from the bar but milk never materialised The kitchen closed at 4pm and the bar 8pm, despite website saying bar closes at 11.30pm so we could not get a drink when we returned after our evening meal. Wi-fi router was switched off

Noise in Apartment smaller room. Constant drone from appliances used in the restaurant below. Could not relax in that room. You can also hear the music from 6:15pm in the restaurant coming up through the ceiling. Not enough equipment in kitchen cupboards to facilitate 4 people staying.

Photos didn’t fully show the accommodation. Had the “apartment”. one of the bedrooms has a kitchenette in it , the bathroom is extremely small - the second bedroom had no power points at the side of the bed
