The only thing that I could fault was Sunday morning buffet breakfast. It was busy and staff (who were all lovely and pleasant) were overwhelmed trying to seat guests, clearing tables etc. They could have done with assistance replenishing hot buffet trays some of which sat empty for some considerable time. They also appeared to run out of pastries.

Old, but we'll maintained hotel. Comfortable bed and bedroom. Friendly staff and central location. Conservatory dining area with good outlook oiver Tay.

Everything was as expected. Room we had overlooked river, bridge and gardens, wonder what a room at the back was like?

Not a great lover of buffet breakfasts, always feel that the food could be hotter. Never enough left for later risers after the rush, although the waitress got us fresh and a pot of tea. There was a conference being held next door as well who were being catered for. The next day there was no buffet, so everything was freshly cooked. Would return to this hotel, comfy and lovely staff.

We booked a suite which was perfect , larger than we anticipated.The location was perfect within easy distance of everything.The staff were excellent and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had , would definitely recommend.

Brilliant hotel have stayed many times now. Staff service & facilities excellent can't do enough fir you. Breakfast & high tea are brilliant ! Fab location too.

The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Car park is rather small.

Single room was somewhat small, but cosy nevertheless. The room heating wasn't on when I arrived in near-freezing outside conditions and it took a while for the room to heat up (thereafter it was snug and warm). The in-room TV was old and needs modernisation/update but watching TV was low-priority for me so it didn't matter so much.

A place that grew on me - initial impressions are perhaps of a creaky-floorboard, old-style hotel (which it is) but the charm of all this grew on me to replace my scepticism when I first arrived. The staff were so, so friendly and very helpful in every interaction: reception staff, breakfast staff etc. Wonderful! Good wifi. And very tasty "full Scottish" breakfast - yum - with great river views.

Can't find any faults

breakfast lovely, shower very hot, bed very comfy. Had an evening meal - high tea/ dinner menu - great choice and value. for £. Great to be able to relax with our dogs. Park (North Inch) across the road. Parking tight but great if available. Central location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have stayed several times before.

Only thing of note is the creaky floorboards (reminded me of home!) No real problem to us but if there had been someone below it might have made me worry about disturbing them.

Unexpected stop in Perth due to weather, this hotel is right in the centre and on the river. We got the last parking space, but could have parked infront of the hotel at a cost. Overall it has a really relaxed feel (maybe the deep couches in the bar and staff attitude are main contributors to this). We ate in the restaurant, plenty of choices and staff were attentive and helpful. The room itself had everything we needed. If you like modern minimalist rooms this probably isn’t for you but it suited us and we’d definitely stay again.

Beds a bit lumpy and uncomfortable.

Hotel a little bit tired but warm and friendly staff. Breakfast was very traditional - black pudding; baked beans, bacon etc. Coffee was okayish and service was attentive. Toasters are pretty feeble.

Limited parking. Booked a Mini Suite, Lovely big bathroom. Electric shower was terrible. A real let down. Bed was brick hard and the pillows were thin.

There was no hot water in the morning and couldn't have a shower. We telephoned on arrival to ask if there were any car park spaces and we told no. We spent about an hour looking for a space then when we checked in they said there were spaces in their carpark so that wasn't good.

Very central. Loved having breakfast in the conservatory great views. Very festive and relaxing in the lounge. Breakfast was excellent with great choices.
