The floor was dusty and had confetti on it from previous guests. Milk was scarce. There are knockers on the front door so when people went past in the middle of the night they knocked on our door waking us up.

The hotel was esthetically pleasing, the room was large, towels were clean. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice, hot and cold. coffee was tasty. Would stay again

Confetti from a confetti cannon on the floor next to the bed closest to the window, upon arrival and thick dust accumulated on the floor around the bedside table, on the same side of the bed as the confetti. Dusty and marked/stained desk under the tele. Dust/cobweb hanging from the ceiling above the bed. No hand soap in the bathroom and a dirty glass on the tray in the cupboard gave cause for query towards the attention/care given towards the cleanliness of the room. Curtains were awkward to draw. Floor slats at the bottom of the bed and corner of the wall leading to the hallway had gaps showing the underlay. Sink tap fitting was loose and wobbly and holder for handsoap dispenser appeared damaged. Shower head had a large cavity exposed in the ceiling. Bath panels loose with a gap showing/screws missing. Laminate of floor slats outside the bathroom were water damaged, actually quite comfortable to walk on, so not an issue. However, all combined drew attention to lack of maintenance. Wednesday (day after arrival), left the room around 08:30, left the housekeeping sign on the door stating the room was ready to be cleaned. Noticed the housekeepers were on our floor (1st) as we left. I returned around 11, room hadn't been cleaned. Left after 20 minutes or so. Returned around 15:30, room still hadn't been cleaned. Were in 5 minutes (removed from door) housekeepers opened door. I was coming off the toilet, partner was expressing milk as she is currently breastfeeding so wasn't appropriate for them to enter. I asked for fresh towels which we received, so it was all good, however, felt that 7 hours out of the room should have been adequate time for a quick pop-in and freshen up of the room from the housekeeping team. Two single beds combined to make a double proved uncomfortable with a noticeable gap down the middle. Automatic light in the bathroom not sensitive enough to capture movement in the bath.

The atmosphere of the hotel was lovely! Bath/shower were amazing! Tele was perfectly placed and a great size! Mattresses and bedding were really comfortable! Lighting and access to lighting control from the bed was great! Room seemed very soundproof and separate/private from the rest of the hotel, albeit some street noise. However, not an issue as we find that quite comforting. The overall experience and quality comparable to cost was satisfactory. Highly recommend: Moose Coffee - Pancakes/coffee/breakfast; Dale St. Kitchen & Bar - Breakfast & Smoothies; Mowgli - Indian Street food; Albert Schloss Alpine Bar and Restaurant - Beer, Cocktails, Food, live entertainment (7nights a week) amazing atmosphere and Chopstix - Noodle bar, amazing quality, cost and concept! Incredible hospitality and service from staff throughout ALL establishments visited.

Water for shower/bath was lukewarm. Breakfast was disorganised & not worth the money - continental breakfast was all gone when we arrived and did not get replenished aside from a few small muffins being brought out. No glasses for juices (staff would bring out 4 or 5 when asked by someone but they'd all disappear quickly. Difficult to get anyone to serve you a tea/coffee.

Lively hotel with great character and large rooms with quirky features. Great big hot tub bath with big rain shower above was fun for kids.

Lack of attention to detail for cleaning/dusting , a lot of our plug sockets in room didn’t work, our lamp didn’t work and room had peeling wallpaper. No plugs where you could plug the kettle in safely to use (I had to balance it on the bed)

I requested rooms and dinning table due to my birthday, i called a day before to confirm, i was told its confirmed my rooms has a dinning and mini kitchen, when we get there the’res no table ,we have to use ironing board. 😭the receptionist is not very helpful, i know its easy to say i’m very sorry,but not fixing the issue, but the special occasion has been ruined due to falls information has been given to us. We are groups of 7 in the room they provided to 2 toilet rolls, i rang the receptionist to have extra toilet roll no body turn up.liverpool its lovely place to visit and the hotel is in the right location, but very bad service at hotel.

Good location, nice big room for 3 of us, brekkie was included. Just all round good value and super friendly staff. If you want a hotel as a base for your trip this is good value for money 💰

Had a jacuzzi bath in the room but water was nothing more than warm went to phone reception but no phone in room which I have never had before. Few water stains on bathroom floor and door handle was hanging off.

Location perfect, easy parking under the building (£15 for 24 hours). Room was massive with everything you needed.

They focused on making the reception area stunning where other parts are very tired and worn. The corridors were crowded with crates of items. Decor very worn. Room was full of flies - had to guide them out of the windows. Some stains on throws on bedding. Mirrors dirty. Water was murky and smelt.

Room was really funky and had a great view of the city. It was in an excellent location, only a short walk from the Cavern Club area and the docks. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Stayed at this hotel a few years back and it has really deteriorated since then. Typical for hens/stags parties. So expect it to be loud. It is April and Christmas decorations are still up around the ceilings. The hotel needs a lot of TLC

Liked that the rooms are clean and plenty of cleaners around the hotel even at night.

Could do with some maintenance in the bedrooms, very noisy, I think there was a hen party on downstairs which was upsetting for my little boy, if we was without children however, this would not have bothered me

Looks beautiful with the themes and decorations, room was easy to find and within walking distance of the main amenities. The bed was comfortable.

It was really noisy as the place facing was getting deliveries around 4am, and the beds kept separating was meant to be a double bed but it was just singles pushed together which was annoying
