Heating in the room we found it difficult to increase the temperature when we came in from a cold walk.

The location is very good, we prefer a buffet style breakfast with cereals and fruit juice and fruits.

Felt it was a bit overpriced. We couldn't get a drink in the bar and felt awkward in the dining room.

Unfortunately, the congested car park (front & rear) is an inevitable consequence of the Spa Hotel's popularity.

A stunning location. A comfortable room (No.1) with a wonderful view. A cosy restaurant with extensive menu. Very friendly staff.

There was only one chair in the room even though there was plenty of space it would have been nice to each be able to sit down rather than on the bed. There was nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom and no heated rail so they didn't dry out. The bed was very soft and would have preferred a king size.

The hotel is a perfect location for walking into Saltburn even though it is very hilly the views are fantastic . The room was nicely furnished and very clean

we booked half board but after our first evening meal we got a bill for our dinner , apparently there is only £20 pp towards your evening meal which is not stated anywhere on the booking , bit of a shock after we had eaten , beware if you book half board

A lot of stairs to our room which was difficult with suitcases.

Food wasn't the best quality, starter was nice, main course we left some of it and the sweet wasn't, sweet? Breakfast was brought to you, with no fruit ,cereal or juice buffet and instant coffee, ok maybe I could of asked for ground coffee?

A bit more access for anyone with a walker or wheelchair could be an improvement but the staff were very helpful offering a different route and a small ramp for the steps at the front door.

The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Views of the sea were great too.

Parking is limited, extraction from kitchen not great, reception is close to the restaurant, strong smell of fish on arrival

Choice of breakfast instead if the fruit bowl coming to us how they decided it should be

Anything mentioned here are really minor niggles, e.g. I would have preferred a coffee pot at breakfast but only a single cup (no saucer) was provided. There. That's not so bad is it?

We had an excellent welcome upon arrival, and after being booked in we shown to our room and our bags carried for us. The room was large and comfortable, very clean and well presented. We had evening dinner which was very tasty and filling. For breakfast, after a great night's sleep, we both had the Yorkshire Cooked breakfast and that was excellent, too. As we stayed for 2 nights the next day's breakfast we went for something lighter but nevertheless was extremely good. The view from the restaurant was excellent, looking out to the sea, This is a hotel everyone would enjoy.

Bedrooms were adequate yet communal areas around corridors and stairs were a bit worn.

Staff were friendly both at Reception and in the Dining area. Food was very tasty and generous portions. New conservatory area was pleasant and outside terrace areas would be very nice during summer months

Some parts of the hotel were cold with draughty doors, especially the tall doors at the back of the hotel in the bedroom. Had a slight problem with closing the curtains, but that was sorted out the next day.

We liked the view from the hotel, it was comfortable, the food was amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

only issue was booked bed dinner and breakfast . wasnt aware that only had £20 allowance for dinner when most mains were over £17.

Towel rail in the bathroom for the hand towel is needed.

Breakfast was amazing although the service was a bit slow and the coffee was served in a single cup which was lukewarm by the time it came would have been better in a coffee pot.

fish pie only had mussels in it ! but the flavour was nice just not what it said on the menu .

Old metal widows were warped and the rain lashed in , I had a coat hanging on chair but splashes ofrain came in. We didnt worry as only stayed one night.

ROOM WAS OK . oBVIOUSLY VERY OLD PART OF BUILDING, VERY HIGH CEILINGS AND OLD METAL WINDOWFRAMES , we will be back in summer for fantastic views out to sea.
