Centre of Lyndhurst so some commuter noise, countered by ear-buds. Room over main bar (it is a pub with rooms not a hotel with an adjoining bar), but all quiet by 23:30 (Wednesday).

Lovely large very clean room however Bed too firm. Blackout curtains didn’t work very light room at night as lights shining through gaps in the curtains. Bathroom radiator very hot!!! Couldn’t turn it off.

When arriving by car and parking in the car park late at night there was no rear access into the hotel after 23.00 hrs the only access was an uncomfortable long walk to the front of hotel. Which is outrageous and unacceptable for elderly guests and the disabled. Not Good.

We liked the friendly and attentive staff and the room was very comfortable, especially the bed. The food served in the restaurant was excellent, and there was a nice atmosphere in the bar and restaurant.

The stairs to our room. We brought our dog. Unfortunately there are no rooms on the ground floor. We did have help taking our luggage to our room which was much appreciated. It didn’t spoil our time here.

Bed was really uncomfortable, the room was boiling hot and we had no idea when we booked that there was live music downstairs on the Friday night. Would rather have known as we would have booked elsewhere. Great pub though so hate complaining but we couldn't wait to get back to our own bed in Sunday night!

Can't really fing anything I didn't like.

Excellent location. The hotel has been furnished to a very high standard and our room and ensuite was really lovely. Great breakfast kept us going for most of day. The bar was brilliant great atmosphere and being the weekend it was very busy. There was also a Christmas fun day on the Saturday and they had loads going on a real community pub. The staff were really cheerful and obviously liked working there which was good to see.. we had a great time and would go back in a flash.

The stay as excellent in 99.9% of everything. The fabric of the place as excellent, as as service, staff friendliness and attitudes, the quality of food and service was outstanding. Pricing reasonable, but our one thing, which is not their fault, I didnt tell them my wife has mobility issues and e had many corridors and stairs to navigate to get to and from our room. Ten out of ten!!

The parking isn't that big although they were accommodating trying to fit us in. It is behind the hotel so hard to find if you just turn up using the hotel name in your sat nav so make sure to find the right postcode for it which is different to the hotel postcode.

The hotel was excellent, the breakfast included was delicious and all the staff were super helpful. A perfect location and will definitely choose to stay here again.

An extremely relaxed pub/restaurant with the staff making me feel welcome upon arrival. Stayed in the "Burley" room which was very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Bathroom was clean and provided with some wonderful smelling soaps and shower gels. Provided with the usual selection of complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits. Excellent location and is within 30 seconds of food shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. Ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing (chicken burger is definitely worth a try). Though the room is above a pub, the noise levels were fine for me and couldn't hear much of what was going on downstairs. Great night sleep and definitely stay here again when back in the area.

Great location for walking through the forest,in the centre of Lyndhurst with lots of lovely unique shops ..There are plenty of bars and restaurants and the food at the stag was great , we had evening meal and breakfast .

Had to park outside & run in to find out how to get to the car park - it’s accessed by going round the one way system apparently so ice we had instructions all good but would have been good to see that on our confirmation email. That’s the only issue we had.

Very clean, warm welcome. Bed so comfortable. Staff very approachable. Breakfast was lovely - I have a dairy intolerance so they provided dairy free spread, left out the sausage as they were unsure if it contained milk but gave me an extra slice of bacon instead.

I couldn’t really fault the hotel for the price.The only gripe I had was there was no heating in the dining room for breakfast in the mornings.

A lovely hotel set right in the middle of The New Forest.The hotel is situated right in middle of the High Street of Lyndhurst only a few yards from the pubs and restaurants.The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at this hotel was very nice with a lovely full English breakfast every morning. The Wi-Fi was excellent and free parking in a secluded car park at the rear. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes definitely, would I stay there again, yes definitely.
