At 10 pm, after shower, found brown skid marks on duvet cover. Had to go downstairs to get the publican to change the bedding. In morning, left with wet hair since the hairdryer overheated and cut off after half a minute; publican had no spare hair dryer.

Friendly staff, great service. Lovely room, in keeping with character of the pub. Rooms cleaned daily, with beautifully fresh clean towels changed daily too. Great breakfast, great price. Will thoroughly recommend and return soon. Right on doorstep of Blenheim Palace.

Too expensive for what we were given. Noisy from the street below and so loud it felt uncomfortable.

The free parking is on public road, ver fewer spaces than cars looking for parking and car has to be moved every hour. On arrival told they stopped serving dinner at 7:00pm. Bed was shockingly uncomfortable, pillows old, lumpy and smelling of sweat. Room hot and stuffy. Noise from bar patrons outside was unbearable and had to put up with loud conversations and swearing till at 11:10pm I got up and went down to the bar to complain. Rooms at front of property on Market Square are very noisy from road traffic and early,morning deliveries. The worst value for money and nights accommodation suffered in years.

Bearing in mind there is no breakfast till 10am or even a cup of coffee offered the place is well overpriced. And sloppy floor in the room, never have seen anything like this for £90 per night

This is friendly community pub in the centre of the town so there is easy access to everything.

£150 for room only, tiny very dated room with a tiny uncomfortable double bed dated bathroom plastic shower tray and glass sliding door obviously broken so is missing and a white plastic temporary pole and shower curtain in its place. All in all very unimpressed

This really is a little gem! I almost don't want to say how great it is for fear of not being able to get a room next time! The staff were all super helpful and friendly. Great range of beers and wines as well as a tasty food menu. Having Blenheim Palace on the doorstep is an absolute treat. We will definitely be back. I have to say that I am usually underwhelmed by the places I stay/eat but this place ticked every box!

Lovely inn, beautifully decorated room, comfy bed and great breakfast. The inn is very conveniently situated in the centre of Woodstock and within short walking distance of Blenheim Palace. Friendly staff, clean room, highly recommended.

It was clear that the staff behind the bar were not the owners. They were just there to do a job but without the welcoming flare that usually comes from the owner of a business who cares. We were also not told about last orders until it was too late and we’re then not allowed to take a drink upstairs with us to our room.
