Wonderful traditional pub with a big welcome and amazing staff. Room was immaculate and comfortable. Food was fabulous and service superb. Very quiet. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at Tankerville Arms Edlingham it was perfect being just outside Alnwick central to all the places we love The room was comfortable and the food delicious didn’t have a bad meal definately recommended everyone was so friendly and helpful and gave our cavapoo a lovely welcome too and lots of fuss

The Inn has been thoughtfully decorated and is a bit quirky. Rooms were very comfortable with a small fridge. Bar and dining areas warm and welcoming.

We were disappointed to find that we were given a room without en suite bathroom facilities. This was a surprise as we booked an ensuite facility. However as the bathroom was across the landing, and we are both well over 21, this had its funny side, particularly at 02.00 am!! However it makes a good dinner party story!

The food was excellent and plentiful, and so were the drinks. The location was beautiful, and very peaceful. The staff who managed were professional, friendly and helpful.

The Tankerville Arms was exceptional. The room was very comfortable and the team looking after us were wonderful. The location is perfect for exploring Northumberland and very quiet.

The only negative was that we would have preferred to have a room with an en suite bathroom to avoid trips across the landing in the middle of the night.

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Tankerville Arms as it is a charming, traditional inn with very friendly, helpful staff. Happily the large bed in our room was very comfortable and gave us a good night's sleep after we had spent the day traipsing all over Holy Island to break up the drive from Scotland to York. The Tankerville Arms' location was, therefore, very convenient for us. The dinner we had was very good as was the breakfast and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We ate in the pub/restaurant two nights and felt it could have had a ‘special ‘ on, as menu although varied wasn’t changed.

I wish the bed had a duvet rather than the blankets.

It is ideally placed for all tourist attractions. Our room and bathroom was cleaned every day. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff were helpful and lovely. It was very quiet considering we were above a pub.

We thought that the room was cold, there was no heat in the radiator, there was an additional tower device, but, I could not get it to blow out warm air.
