Noise caused by distressed woman in room on same floor in the early hours of the night was very unsettling. Rooms need to be decorated and updated.

Location for beach/harbour and town centre very good.

Building is very tired and in much need of decoration. Corridors are quite dark. A 2pm arrival time would seem more reasonable for a Hotel.

Beds I found were quite hard and pillows were also ,for us ,but it's just general choice,no toiletries as such a push soap on wall but didn't work ,rooms were quite hot ,I would definitely stay again tho due to location & staff

Location was fab ,bar staff were friendly and accommodating especially Kay ,drinks were reasonable price, reception staff were helpful also,entertainment was ok more for elderly people more so, rooms were big we stayed in delux on first floor ,we never ate there so can't comment on that ,on the hole I was happy with my stay ,I would book again ,no dislikes

I asked for reasonable access to room as I have a disability with mobility issues, but was put on 4th floor and halfway down the corridor! Parking was not very convenient as a distance from hotel with our luggage and we wernt sure how to park on first night so didn't get the hotel discount. And then had issues with the card they gave us. Overall a bit inconvenient but not the end of the world.

Convenient location, food was good, staff helpful and friendly, plenty of places nearby to visit. We enjoyed our stay.

No parking The receptionist told us hotel information could be found in the welcome booklet in the room. The book stated that breakfast was on until 9.30. Once at the restaurant at 9.15, there was a small paper sign that had been put up saying breakfast is until 9 am. The restaurant staff member did not seem to care about their mis-advertisement and was not helpful. Might be worth changing the end time in the printed and formal book that every room will see

YOUR mis-information! You have 'no parking here' on this booking site, and yet they do have a subsidised deal with the m/storey next door - so please. So, I parked on the street at twice the rate they would have charged me in a secure CP. Correction of info - and apology please.

Any English sea-front hotel in winter is going to feel empty and un-loved - and short on staff as well as residents - and you always think... 'Wouldn't this be lovely in summer?' Breakfast ended at 9am - and we reached the resto at 9.08; so not the best of experiences.

The general property is run down. Paint missing from window frames and in general very dated.

For the price, there isn't really anything not to like. I would happily stay here again.

I'd stayed here just two weeks prior, so I knew what to expect. The location is right by Torquay harbour so there are plenty of bars and restaurants very close by, and plenty to see and do. The hotel has very limited parking facilities, but there are public car parks very close by that I believe the hotel has permits for. There are also bus stops right outside the door, and a taxi rank just over the road. My room was comfortable, very clean, but quite basic. It was also at the back of the hotel so didn't have any view whatsoever, but all I really needed was a bed for the night and a bathroom so it was absolutely fine for me. For the price that I paid, it was excellent value. I sure there are better rooms available, particularly at the front of the hotel. The reception and bar/lounge area was spacious and pleasant, and the staff were very friendly. The last time I stayed I opted not to have breakfast and instead go to the Weatherspoons just around the corner. That was a mistake that I didn't want to repeat this time because although Weatherspoons was cheaper, the hotel breakfast was much better quality and in my opinion, better value. The buffet breakfast had a range of fruit, yogurts, cereals, and juices, as well as the usual cooked full-english breakfast items. Tea and/or coffee was served at my table in a pot.

The shower was too small and my husband was not able to shower the 3 days we were there. He could only have a sink wash. The television aerial was placed on the window and kept falling off so reception was very bad
