We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

QatarThe price. 7 star price for a 4 star room and sub parr breakfast. Took a huge effort to recieve communication to confirm we could do early check in as we were attending a wedding. Despite messaging through booking.com and calling and leaving a message on an answering machine. Check in was at 2.00pm and check out at 11am meant we actually got less than 24hrs for twice the price of a normal hotel room. For me saying covid has caused less staff so experiences are compromised. However you are still charging for a 7 star experience. Would not return.
Comfortable bed. Lovely view which we paid extra to have.

United KingdomStaff were excellent, lovely newly decorated hotel and good location. Evening meal was hit and miss. Some dishes were great value others not so. Steak and burger same price! Steak was fab but burger not worth £16. The £12 cheeseboard had a tiny amount of cheese a few oatcakes and a tiny bit if quince jelly. I would review the cheeseboard portions! On the whole a nice stay though.

United KingdomDifficult to get very hot water in room sink. Dog friendly room is fairly basic but make sup for that being warm and clean. Only one bedside table. Not keen on breakfast / dinner options. Average quality only. Some items not good at all. But need to bear in mind its a 3 star, so should not expect too much. No full length mirror or decent mirror for applying makeup which was problematic for someone short sighted and the lighting was limited.
Warm in room, clean, and staff were welcoming, so comfortable in winter. Good shower, and parking is easy. Good size room and adjustable heating. Bed was comfortable as were pillows. Helpful staff were very pleasant in all areas.

United KingdomThe notes when we arrived said how friendly it was and how they liked to get to know their customers, thought the guy who checked us in very unfriendly The walls are pretty thin , can hear people speaking through the rooms No fruit at breakfast unless took menu choice , but only allowed one thing off the menu Filter coffee that was lukewarm , no other coffee offered We paid £200 for one night , it definitely wasn’t worth that amount , more like a £100 hotel but there wasn’t much choice so must be supply and demand in Gullane

United KingdomThe ambience in the dining area with the leaf wallpaper wasn’t what we expected, it felt more like a cafeteria which was a shame as we were celebrating an anniversary. The paintwork in the double bedroom we were given could have done with a freshen up, slightly over priced room for what it was.

United KingdomWe couldn’t check in at 2pm when the check in was 3 pm . Anyway that is the procedure I by mistake book the disable room and asked to change even to pay more to get a room with a bath but it was not possible but when I checked on booking.com or the hotel web site there was rooms 🤔Anyway I didn’t want to be upset or make any issues it was my fault that I booked the wrong room that is the Only room on the ground floor next to the door for the staff that they kept going back and forth during the evening and we could hear our door keep clashing which a quite scary at times. I just wish someone would have checked with me before if I was ok with that room when I booked.

United KingdomToilet hadn't been flushed when I arrived at the room. The room was fine & nothing to complain about, however it was a decent room above a pub. Nothing more & nothing less. £230 per night was way more than it was worth in my opinion, although I guess the price is driven by demand, not how good the facilities are.
Breakfast was very nice. Location is amazing, walking distance to Gullane GC.
