Fantastic quirky B&B with a great host.

Breakfast the second morning (fried eggs, bacon and tomatoes) arrived late and it was obvious that it had been kept warm whilst waiting to be served. This was because the lady serving spent too much time chatting with myself and another guest and my breakfast was eventually brought to the table by the chef/owner. Again, the two slices of toast were a bit underdone.

Breakfast the first morning (scrambled egg and smoked salmon on toast) was very good, although the toast was a bit underdone - another minute in the toaster would have made it crunchy instead of a bit soft.

The room was very small but the most had been made of it and it had everything that was needed for an overnight stay.

room a little cramped and shower was tiny. difficult to bend over or reach items like shampoo etc. but facilities good and extremely clean and tidy. breakfast could be improved by radio 2 or gentle music. sometimes felt we had to whisper! also - Would have preferred 8am to 10am as felt 8-9am a little tight. great idea to pre choose the evening before. wish the young couple the very best on their new venture. they work very hard and are extremely committed. thank you too from Arthur!

exceptional staff. very welcoming and helpful. breakfast was superb. especially the Berry compote and scrambled eggs! would definitely return and highly recommend to friends and family overall the room was extremely clean and tidy

No parking and a significant walk fro the nearest car park

The welcome was warm, but there is no parking available at all. The room we had was very compact although had all the facilities required other than a comfortable chair to sit in. No lounge facilities. Breakfast was lovely, pre ordered. The property is right next to a bakery and it would have been lovely to have been offered fresh bakery products.

Really old property c 1430 so loved that. Original features, old fireplace in our bedroom, some original beams, uneven floor in room. Right in the middle of the town and everything on your doorstep.

The place is full of character. Interesting for us but it may be off-putting for some who want more modern and comfortable surroundings.

The location was perfect; step right into the middle of Fowey. The owner and his family and friends were friendly and engaging. The breakfasts were lovely.

The Well house is centrally located in Fowey town although away from all the busy pubs. Short term Carpark close by and long term Carpark a 10 minute walk away which was reasonably priced. The Owner was extremely welcoming and friendly upon arrival and throughout our stay. The family suite was perfect, clean and bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom facilities were also excellent. Breakfast amazing and all local products and cooked to order at our chosen time. Didn’t want to leave!

The macerator pump would go off in the night unprompted which was disturbing. The dining room is dated, but as this is the oldest building in Fowey and current owners have only just taken over I am sure this will be remedied.

Great breakfast using local produce. The bed was very comfy and slept incredibly well even though in the middle of the town. Great central location.

The only drawback is the lack of parking nearby. We did manage to park in the short stay car park just up the road. but it is restricted to max 2 hours between 9am and 6pm. The next nearest carpark is a good 6-7 mn walk away from the B&B. Access to the B&B is quite difficult if you have a big car as it is in the middle of the town where the one way system is through very narrow streets. Beware!

Beautifully characterful and historical building totally in the centre of Fowey. Extremely charming and welcoming hosts, attentive, friendly and warm. Congratulations to Matt and cie for making our stay so nice, considering they had only been the owners of this amazing B&B for 3 weeks when we arrived. We stayed in the oldest room (the Tudor Room) with the original fireplace and 4 poster bed. The breakfast, ordered the night before, was simply delicious. Fabulous choice of accomodation for a stay in Fowey.

The owners are keen to develop the business and have plenty of good ideas. As they have only been there 3 weeks it doesn't seem applicable. '

Excellent location, the owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was a delight, very clean and comfortable amazing 4 poster bed, beautiful Tudor fireplace. Breakfast very substantial with plenty of choice. We recommend the delicious compot. Would highly recommend and we will visit again.

Wonderfully quirky with original features. Amazingly comfortable bed gave a great night's sleep and remarkably quiet given the position in the Main Street of town. Fabulous breakfast. Matthew is a welcoming and helpful host.

Really couldn’t fault anything

Great location in the centre of Fowey, only a 5 minute walk to the quay side and lots of places to eat and drink in the near vicinity. The main car park in Fowey is only a 10 minute walk away

Beautiful room, property and location. Our hosts were so welcoming and lovely breakfast to set us up for our last day in Cornwall. They made it very special one! Clean, cosy and a beautiful dog to add!
