The "beds" in the living room (two fold-down chairs and a fold-down couch) were uncomfortable and made sleeping difficult. I would say the property would sleep more 3-4 semi comfortably and 2 comfortably.

The location was impeccable. Shambles market was right out the door and an M&S grocery store around the corner. The property had all the amenities you would need. There were enough extra blankets and towels we needed and plenty of tea and coffee.

the pull out chair wasn’t comfortable at all for sleeping but it’s the only real complaint about the place

the location was perfect, it wasn’t over the top but comfortable.

Because the sofas are sofa beds they are not very comfy to sit on but we weren’t in the flat much. It might be time for a repaint and refresh of flooring at some point for the price of the accommodation but we would stay there again for the location and fabulous window view.

The location was absolutely outstanding! Right in the Shambles and straight out of the door into the heart of York - unbeatable location! Close to loads of great places to eat and loads of great pubs and bars.

Some furnishings are beginning to show wear and tear other than that it is a perfectly situated apartment.

Comfortable apartment right on the door steps of historic Shambles perfect for a weekend holiday. Apartment has everything one would need and conveniently located next door is grocery and convenience stores. No parking on site but secure parking at Q-park is 5 mins walking distance.

The sofa beds were so uncomfortable. States it sleeps up to 7. But I would definitely not recommend more than 2. Only one actual double bed which was decent. Because of this, we didn't get a good night's sleep unfortunately and made it harder to swallow the expensive price for one night. (granted it was bank holiday weekend)

The location was superb. Right at the bottom of the Shambles. Loved the stay and the apartment was lovely.

There needs to be curtains fitted in the lounge area as it doubles as a sleeping area and has exceptionally large windows! The light comes in constantly as there is a street light level with the window . The radiator covers have a metal panel which makes the front of them hot when they're on so I had to watch my son didn't go near them.

The location and communication with host were great.

The pull-out beds in the living room were small and quite firm to sleep on.

The location was ideal, right by the Shambles. Great base for a weekend in York, with cooker and fridge so you can have breakfast or just a tea break before heading back out into town.

Noise at night, very warm in the living area due to the sun’s orientation in the summer and the high temps while we were there. One of the dining chairs was missing a seat back and was not repaired during our stay.

The location was excellent for walking to the Minster, Jorvik Museum, and the Yorkshire museums. Many of the walking tours leave from just over the road, which is convenient but that means it’s quite loud until 10pm or so, which meant that my kids sleeping in the living room had a hard time going to sleep. Excellent kitchen facilities.

No communication with the staff (it is true however that it was during weekend but we could reach only the answerphone). There was bed only for two person the sofa-bed was wery inconvenient to sleep (since it is advertised for 6 person there was two chairbed as well but they are not ment to serve to sleep on) It was impossible to vent the bedroom. (the windows are fixed) which was quite disturbing.

Very nice location Nice room with good look to York Clean and well equipped apartment For two person and not more!

There thermostat was wonky - no way to see or set the actual temperature. It was either on or off and we constantly had to adjust it. Also there was no oil, foil, or paper towel in the kitchen to help with cooking. The stairs were steep and made getting luggage up a little challenging - but we where forewarned about that so no complaint; it simply wasn't our favourite feature of the place :). The fold out chairs in the living room appeared to be missing some pieces (legs) so the beds sloped. It wasn't a big deal but it was a little awkward for our daughters.

Great location right on the edge of The Shambles. We were able to walk everywhere from this apartment. The style and appointment of the apartment were great. It was wonderful having a dish washer and a full set of dishes/silverware. So many places we stay only have 4-5 forks/knives/spoons and so you have to do dishes all the time. Bed in the main bedroom was comfy. Shower was nice. Having two grocery stores within 2 minutes walk was very handy.

The freezer in the fridge was unusable due to needing to be defrosted. Was full of ice. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable to sit on. No night light in hallway. At night it was pitch dark and very disorientanting.

Location was very good. Only a few minutes to all the main attractions.

The apartment seems to be designed for taller people. The entry panel is above my head height (and I'm just under six feet tall), and the side of the bath (the apartment has an over-bath shower) is pretty high. On entering from the street, the apartment, on the first floor, is accessed by means of a long and rather steep staircase.

The information from the hosts prior to arrival was very good and very full. The apartment is in a superb location, at the bottom of The Shambles, less than one minute from a Marks & Spencer for groceries, and with many eateries (including the Shambles Market food court) and pubs a few minutes' walk away. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided, together with washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets, plenty of towels and hand soap in the bathroom. The bed is very comfortable and the bedroom is at the rear, so no noise from the street. The full kitchen is well laid out and the apartment is bright with plenty of lighting. To give it a seasonal feel the hosts had kindly placed an artificial Christmas tree in the apartment. York Minster is about 15 minutes' stroll away through the charming old town.
