No tea or coffee-making facilities in the room, Especially as we booked a king guest room, The breakfast was only average and I felt rushed. I didn't like the staff shutting off the buffet area so quickly.

I liked the location, the swimming pool and spar were great... It's a beautiful period hotel..

There was nothing we didn't like, although the welcome at check in and check out could have been a bit friendlier.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Majestic. Most of the staff were outstanding in their service. The waiter who served us at dinner in Carters Champagne Bar&Grill was first class. The young man who served us in Frederick's Lounge Bar was extremely friendly and welcoming and the young lady who welcomed us into breakfast on our second morning was absolutely delightful. The breakfast each morning was delicious and plentiful. Definitely sets you up for the day. Our room was huge. The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved the comfort of the pillows. We both slept like logs. The bathroom was fairly modern and had lovely fluffy towels. The Majestic is a great place to relax and catch up with family and friends. It's in a great location - only a five minute walk to the town centre.

Lovely old property which has retained its character but updated to the present. Room very comfortable and we enjoyed the spa facilities. Very convenient location few minutes walk from town centre.

Not being able to enjoy the spa at any time whilst staying in the hotel. It was very full, and I believe that was because of its smaller venue.

The bathroom had not been cleaned properly, and we had to complain 3 times before it was put right. We were given a free drink. Paying extra for parking is disgusting.

Large room, comfortable bed, and good shower. We only had one meal there, but it was good. The location was good for exploring the town.

We made a special request for a walk in shower when we booked but this had not been taken into account. We were fortunate to be able to change rooms however I shouldn't have had to complain to get this. As it was the festive season the hotel was extremely busy and we were unable to use the spa facilities due to it being full to capacity.

The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were very spacious and we liked the king sized bed.

It sounds weird but the toilet is really low down The lifts were also really slow, which is no big issues really

Really comfortable bed and there is a bath in the bathroom! Also the beauty of the building just makes for a special stay.

The hotel itself was great, however not sure if we miss read about the spa facilities? We came early on the Saturday, couldn’t guarantee a room before 4pm that was fine but we couldn’t use the Spa until checked in? The whole point for us was to come early and chill using the facilities. We had already pre paid & paid £15 for parking so were we not guests at that point? Didn’t end up using the spa as didn’t get room till 3:40 and we had other plans arranged for later in day.

I could have had this room initially and saved the disappointment

Initially the room that we got was dark and depressing. There was no usb ports to charge phone . The view out of window was a roof . A complaint was made to reception and they moved us to an another room. This room was totally different. It was bright and airy and had usb facilities. At least my stay had a celebration end . It was our anniversary day celebration
