The owners were most welcoming on our arrival and as soon as we had settled in our room, served us with tea/coffee and cake in the lounge which was a lovely touch. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, the whole of the house was clean and we could not fault it. They even organised us a dinner reservation for that night as we had not booked anywhere. Breakfast was fantastic as well.

2nd stay at this perfect B&B. Lovely location as a base for exploring the area. Wonderfully comfortable, clean, beautiful house and rooms with fantastic views. Breakfasts are amazing, fresh fruit, salmon, pastries, cooked breakfasts - superb! Best thing about staying at thistle house is the warm welcome and care shown throughout our stays here by Sue and Avril. They are so friendly, helpful and lovely. We love it here!

If you don't find stairs easy, it is best to ask for a first floor room. It is a fair distance to go anywhere for dinner by car but there is an excellent seafood restaurant in Inveraray well worth the trip.

A very warm welcome in a comfortable old house. A fantastic cosy lounge for our use with the most superb views. The breakfast was exceptionally good, the room was extremely comfortable. The owners are kindness itself.

I was delighted with this B&B. It is right on the edge of Loch Fyne. Warm welcome from Sue and Avril. Our room was at the top of the house. It was just gorgeous with a view across the Loch and spotlessly clean. I felt we had found a little gem and we were sorry to be only staying 1 night.

Honestly, nothing. We were aware that they're located a little further than Inverary, so that wasn't a problem, but that might not suit everybody. There's also limited eating and drinking nearby - again, this was a bonus for us as we wanted to be somewhere quiet but might not suit everybody. If you're driving, I'd suggest you have dinner nearby (would recommend the George Hotel, where we went) and bring a bottle of wine back with you to enjoy in the beautiful drawing room. Then you get the best of all worlds!

Such a wonderful stay. Beautiful, quiet space and location overlooking the loch and across from Inverary, which is exactly what we needed. The two women who run the B&B are a delight and the breakfast was delicious. My partner and I had a wonderful evening whisky tasting (don't forget to bring your own - they don't run a bar there) and playing cards, followed by a long sleep in a big, comfortable bed with a comfortable, heavy duvet (if you know, you know). Just wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

We had a late checkin and the lady was so kind to wait for as and she also booked a table for our dinner in the near village. The room was large, clean and well accessorized. There was a beautiful view on the garden. We found water, cookies and tea and coffee in the room. the bed sheets were fresh and refined. The house was elegant, with a wonderfully furnished living room for guests, with books and games. The view on the loch was amazing. Parking is very easy. At the evening the ladies asked us to fill a list of whatever we desired for breakfast (french, scottish. continental,,,,) And we had it!

The B&B was totally charming; beds were comfy, baths were nice and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very hospitable and accomodating. There was a lovely living room where we were serviced cofee, tea and sweets upon arrival and where we could sit in the evening. The views were lovely as well.

The location is great. We've been here a few times before and we can't recommend it enough. Spending time in the garden or lounge is a perfect end to day. The breakfast is great, and fills you up for a day out in the hills.

Everything was amazing. The house is beautiful, right in front of the lake, the bedroom super comfortable and clean, but the best was the breakfast, all freshly prepared, and of course the attention of the owners, always willing to help. 100% recommended.
