The town itself is a bit run down. We went on a walk to see if there was somewhere we could eat but instead ate at the hotel both nights. The Wetherspoons opposite was really noisy- until 12.30am. We had the windows open because it was hot. Also noisy motorbikes seemingly zoomed past at all hours.

The hotel was lovely and so were all the staff. Our room was very clean and it was a lovely building. High ceilings with oak beams.

Stayed here a couple of times and it's always great. Near Merthyr so good for Trago Mills and Abergavenny. The staff are always polite. Love it. Would recommend.

That I wasn't asked if I required an evening meal when I checked in, as when I came to wanting an evening meal I was told that they were fully booked.

The breakfast was good and they accommodated for my intolerance, the only down side there was no offer of Cereals or toast with the hot breakfast, though there was a good choice of hot breakfasts.

Everything lovely

This is the 2 nd time staying at the T A as my god daughter lives near there . 23 of us had a beautiful meal last night and lovely breakfast this morning . We have holiday cottages at home and I a fussy with cleanliness and I have got to say the room was spotless . Lovely comfortable bed , Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

They only had full fat milk and I can’t drink tea with it. That’s just my preference.

unfortunately my room was right above the bar and the front door so very noisy and the smoke from below wafted in so I couldn’t have the window open - Friday nights have live music until late so if you are in a walking holiday maybe not the best place to stay.

The property has been really well done and the rooms are lovely - the food is amazing- staff are great - Michelle is an absolute gem and literally spots things that no one else does - she is such as asset to the establishment

If you want to go to bed before 23:00, it would be a bit noisy, as expected. We did not care.

would be ideal if the hotel invested in a mesh wi-fi system as the it seems the signal is only strong in the restaurant side.
